My Granddaughter's Card to Noah Biorkman
80A Card For Noah
The first time I saw a hub about Noah, I skimmed it and figured it was a scam of some sort. But the next time I saw the story there was a link to Snopes and I realized that it was horribly true.
Noah Biorkman is a five year old little boy dying of cancer in Michigan. He has a wish and it is not to meet Miley Cyrus, play for the Michigan Wolverines or ride his own pony. He just wants one more Christmas and lots of Christmas cards. Apparently no one, except God, can grant him the "one more Christmas" wish but we can sure send him a card.
Go to the forums if you want some more information on Noah. The one titled "A dying child's last wishes" is full of info including the address, links to snopes, etc.
Just picked up Maddie, my seven year old granddaughter, at school and told her about Noah. She immediately agreed to make him a Christmas card and wanted to put a dollar in it! I told her he just wanted the card but she said "If he gets well he can go and get him something."
I couldn't bring myself to tell her that he was not going to get well.
We walked it out to the mailbox and a helicopter flew over from the local hospital. She thought it might be Noah and I told her that Michigan was a long way from South Carolina. Then I showed her Noah's picture on my computer and where Michigan is on the map. She still thought he might get well and get to spend her dollar. Such is the faith of children!
Bad day at work? Be thankful! Car payment past due? Be thankful! Can't find a job right now? Be thankful! In other words there are a lot of problems in this world and hardly any of them can compare to the problems this little boy and his family are facing. Be thankful!
I am.
And Noah, your card's in the mail.
Merry Christmas-we love you!

Wow, what a wonderful little girl your granddaughter is. And what a wonderful hub, I will definitely be sending Noah a Christmas card. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks, guys!
Did not have a lot of time but anything is better than nothing, I think.
Beautiful, that brought tears to my eyes.
Thanks, Uninvited Writer. I appreciate your comments but did not mean to make anyone cry.
Thank you.
Humbled to be able to add something.
Thank you so much for this... it is VERY touching :)
Yours was much better but thanks. I was just looking for an another angle. Seems I found one. Thanks again for the feedback!
Whew, there are no other words that can express as well as you did. Noah and his family have our unceasing prayers. My card is on the way! Your Granddaughter is wise beyond her years. If Noah makes it the family will be grateful for the help. If Noah finds his wings, the family will be gratefull for the help. Our son is in heaven after an extended illness; there is peace is knowing he is no longer in pain. Life goes on down here and the medical bills will roll in no matter what the outcome the Lord has planned. God Bless Noah and his family.

Maddie asked about Noah again today. I don't really know what to tell her other that he is doing ok, which I am sure is not true.
Miracles do happen sometimes, maybe this is one of those times!
And maybe people who care ARE the miracle.
