Okay, I’m psyched! Yeah, I guess I have kind of a boring life, so it doesn’t take a whole lot to excite me. We went shopping at Wally World last night, and guess what I found in the refrigerated section? Cold, ready-to-drink resveratrol juice! I’ve been taking the supplement in pill form for a couple of months, but getting more in a drink form is a great idea.

You’ve heard about resveratrol, right? It’s been all over the news. It’s being touted as practically the “fountain of youth.” I don’t know about all that, but it has enjoyed some pretty amazing findings from scientific studies.

Resveraltrol is a phytoalexin – a compound that acts as an antibiotic in some plant species to protect them from fungal infections. While several plants have the compound, the highest concentrations are found in the skins of red and purple grapes. The whole craze started when studies showed that the French have longer and healthier lives than the citizens of other developed nations, even though they consume lots of fats. Scientists discovered that the large amounts of red wines they imbibe is their secret, and that it’s the resveratrol in the wine that makes it so beneficial. To read more specifics about resveratrol, click on the article link found below this article.

The supplements can be found in health food stores and online, but I’m “supplementing my supplement” with the resveratrol juice. I’m substituting it for diet sodas at least once a day. I figure I can use all the help I can get!

Now, for the specifics about this particular product: The drink I purchased is produced by a company named Genesis Today. I bought the 10-ounce bottles. It costs $1.50 per bottle. I’m sure it’s cheaper by the case or six-pack, but I wanted to try it before buying that many.

The main ingredients are resveratrol from Concord grapes, red grapes, white grapes, cranberries, blueberries, and Japanese knotwood. It also contains pear juice, apple juice, and cherry juice.

A 10-ounce serving has 130 calories, 31 grams of carbohydrates, .5 grams of fiber, and no fat. The juice is also low in sodium – a full serving has only 1% of the daily allowance recommended for adults.

In addition to the resveratrol, the drink provides 10% of the RDA for vitamin A, 5% of the calcium, 2% of the iron, 50% of the thiamin, 50% of the riboflavin, 50% of the niacin, 50% of the pantothenic acid, and 300mg of potassium.

It also provides a full 100% of the biotin and folate you need every day. If you read a lot oabout supplements, you know how important these two are.

Even more impressive is the juice’s vitamin C content – 200% of the RDA for adults! Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that helps the body fight all kinds of infections and reduces the damage caused by free radicals.

Sounds good, huh? Wait till you read this! You probably understand the importance of vitamin B12. According to the prestigious Mayo Clinic, B12 is necessary for maintaining healthy nerve cells and red blood cells. It’s also necessary for the DNA that’s found in every cell in the body. Most of us get enough B12 from our diets; however, some people just don’t absorb enough from foods. The elderly are especially at risk for B12 deficiency. And since meats are the primary source of the vitamin, many vegans and vegetarians are at risk for a deficiency of B12. The Genesis Today Resveratrol Juice contains 1000% of the RDA for vitamin B12! That sure beats going to the doctor for a B12 injection!

According to all the research I’ve done, vitamin B12 toxicity is a non-issue. It’s water soluble, so it’s safe even at high levels. I can honestly tell you this: After drinking one of these resveratrol juice drinks, I have amazing energy! I don’t know if it’s the resveratrol, the B12, or a combination of both, but it sure as heck works!

Hi are you making money from your sites or they just for fun. They all seem to be quite good and have great content. I am just curious. I am trying to make a few dollars and I think what I have is going to work but I did not know what others are doing. Great hub anyway.
