Poking my nose into the thread, " I Challenge you" which was created by CRIS A so one must give credit where credit is due, Ralwus asked that I write a hub on " Spell Checking A Hub". The brave soul that I am , I accepted the challenge not realizing what I am about to get myself into, thanks Ralwus! We often write about topics that we are familiar with or things that merely come to mind but when a person begins to think outside the box they are now challenging themselves. When another hubber asks you to write on a subject just do it, it makes you reach farther then you have before and certainly makes you a team player. So the question is , "

Spell Checking a Hub What Do You Do?"

1. Inside your capsule there is a lovely row of gadgets from Scissor to links I am certain you have seen that row every time you create a hub. Right in the middle there is an icon that reads, " ABC" with a little check mark ,that is your toggle spellchecker.

2. When the system notices a error or misspelled word it will underline it in red, take your cursor and place it on the right side of the word, then right click the mouse ,a suggestion box will open up and assist you with correct the word or you can ignore the word altogether.

3. The system will not tell you where your comma and quotations should be but it certainly will assist us with checking for misspelled words.

There are also places on the internet such as spellcheck.net not only is it free but it will allow you to copy and paste your paragraphs and correct them. If you are brave and bold enough allow other hubbers to critique your writing and do not be offended if they find a spelling error or run on sentence, thank them for locating it and go back into your hub and correct it. I still find error after I review, many of us are certainly not editors so it is o.k. if someone is able to find the boo-boo. If by some chance you are a little embarassed when someone critiques your hub then e-mail a hubber you are comfortable with and ask them to look at the hub and let them tell you what they think. There are so many wonderful people on hubpages you can be certain that someone will always be there to help you.
