Things women don't need

Updated on October 3, 2008

Let be honest now. Much of the things we women have, we don’t need. Not only those 72 pair of shoes but also other things, sometimes simple things. No I’m not talking about men. But let us see what those things are. Maybe you can name a few others too.

1) Alcohol

Yes alcohol. We don’t need it because it only damages us. Alcohol brings even more damage to women than to men. One glass a day or 7 in a week (yes I can count) is more than enough.

I think I take these 7 glasses now. I’m already crazy,  so the damage is already done

2) Cellulites

This is really something women can do without. But it’s hard to find a woman who doesn’t show any signs of cellulite.  Just as long as we can’t bake pancakes in the pits of our skins, it’s all right. We just have to exercise, eat healthy and get a body massage on regular bases.

3) Ear rings

We almost all have them because we think they make us look more beautiful for men. But damn, it’s so easy to lose one and in the end we end up with all kinds of lonely ear rings.

4 ) Children

Many women want them, but if we look deep inside, we don’t need them to have a busy fulfilling life or to have our own social network just so we won’t be or feel lonely when we are old and grumpy.

5) Foot massages appliances

A foot massage is only good when we get it from a human being, or better, our love.  As soon we have to get it with some appliances we don’t like it anymore and after a while we put those things in the back of our closets. Useless.

6) Wide jeans

Hip and especially coming winter season, but the truth is those jeans hardly will get us some compliments because they don’t flatter us. Is that worth the comfort?

7) A knitted dress

Did you know that you still see the print of your butt in the dress after you’ve sat down?  The ‘oehs’ and ‘ahs’ you will hear will be because when you stand up and walk around , everyone still sees your butt imprinted into the dress which makes your butt look even  bigger than ever before.

8) A melon ball spoon

I don’t know who came up with the idea that using little balls of melon as decoration when you have good friends or family over for an awesome dinner. Those dinners are rare and just to impress and melon in little parts is just as tasteful. This little spoon is lying useless in a draw in the kitchen, forgotten.

9) Cook books

Even though we buy them sometimes because we’re looking for something different or something new to cook or bake, we use them once maybe. Just because it looks fun to make something new, but we aren’t really looking for something new. And recipes are  easy to find on the internet these days.

10) Wrap skirt

A classic that never seems to be out of fashion. So you keep wearing it until it reminds you why it was hanging in the closet for three years. That thing keeps coming lose at the most embarrassing moments. So lose it.

11) Heated eyelash curler.

Many women use eyelash curlers to enhance nature’s framework. Wake up girls! Natures framework is tough. And if you apply too much heat on the metal eyelash curler, this will burn your eyelids. Just mascara for me. Thanks Misty;)

12) Plastic surgery

I'm not talking about operations here that are necessary for your health.

Liposuction. Facelifts, Lip implants. Botox. Breastimplants.

It's like Hotdorkage says; We don't need it. If we have saddlebags or flub rings or thin lips or wrinkles it is part of us and our true friends won't like us any less.

We are who we are and should be happy with who we are instead of wanting to be the ideal woman. And when you see some results of plastic surgery, you start wondering if it makes you look more beautiful. Some women who had plastic surgery could do without a mask on halloween and even then they would scare everyone.

So  I made a start. Can you name more of these things we really don’t need?  I will put them in here too. I’m curious.
