Weight Loss, Walking, and Wii Fit Plus
weight loss, walking, Wii Fit
Do you really want to lose weight? Yes, then put down that cookie, let go of the remote control, stand up and do something. How much weight you loose will depend upon two things, what you do for exercise and how much you eat. If you are already consuming fewer calories than you are bruning off, you do not need to exercise for weight loss.
Now, weight loss is only one reason to exercise so do not quit, but also do not over do it.
You can shed a few pound and get fit by eating real food, which means no pre-packaged items, especially cookies, potato chips, cakes and all those sugar and fat snack that some call food and by taking a walk, at a good clip, three times a week, or by working out on your Wii Fit, three to five times a week.
My personal workout is designed to make a keep me fit overall: muscles toned, good balance and a gradual, measured weight loss.
Currently, I am losing between three and four pounds a month. I walk daily, except on extremely unpleasant days.
I also do a twenty minute Wii Fit routine six days a week. The routine varies my each workout includes at least one yoga exercise, one strength training exercise, two balance exercise, as this is a weak spot and one aerobics exercise; either the hula hoop or a run. I like the Island Run but now and then when I am looking for a longer workout I do the ten minute free run.
When I am finished the routine, I feel good, alive and awake. I have broken a sweat, worked my muscles. and I see improvements in my balance; not to mention the pounds gradually shedding.
I do my workout each day, around the same time, usually 4:15 to 4:30, about two hours before supper. There is no reason for this schedule other than that is when I am ready, I have completed any writing or research I was doing, at least for that day and am ready to settle down with a book that I have set aside for this purpose.
My wife gets home around 5:30 and see does her Wii Fit routine then and we chat for a bit and then sit down to dinner.
So if you really do want to shed extra pounds and get fit, then get up off your couch, put down the remote control, plug in your Wii Fit and begin to work out. You can design your own routine and set goals for yoru self. I suggest setting realistic achievable goals, ones you can meet.
Weight loss, healthy weight loss is a slow process, after all it took sometime and effort to put it on and to take it off will require the same.
