My eye
My eye

Makeup and Products, See below

I feel my best feature are my eyes; I love to experiment with all sorts of mascara and eye shadows and other fun items to enhance my eyes. After years and years of research at using the makeup below, I thought it best to share my knowledge with others. How to apply makeup is very important too.

I have very sensitive eyes and look for cosmetics and beauty secrets that have helped me tremendously with this issue. In my opinion, here are the top mascara and makeup best for sensitive eyes;

ALMAY® one coat nourishing mascara thickening

Maybelline’s Lash Stiletto’s Mascara

Lancôme L’Extreme Mascara

ALMAY® one coat triple effect® mascara

Clinique High Impact Mascara

I actually use a conditioning mascara first, I use the following for my sensitive eyes;

Lancôme Cils Booster XL

Clinique Lash Building Primer

I apply one coat of conditioning mascara (either Lancôme or Clinique) both are wonderful, after the first coat dries; I put on one more coat. I let that dry, then I apply one coat of the Almay one-coat triple effect lash mascara, one-coat nourishing Almay thickening mascara and then my final coat of mascara is the Clinique High Impact. I like a LOT of mascara, but choose what works best for you.

Listed below are the eye shadows and makeup that I use, having sensitive eyes, this is very important and over years of trying all types of stuff, these are the beauty tips that work for me;

Arbonne Eye shadows (any of them)

Lancôme Eye shadows (no glitter, etc.)

Urban Decay (no glitter or sparkles, etc.)

Clarins Eye shadow

I usually put my foundation on my eyelids, just a little (as a base) then I put a light color all over the lid then, I take one dark color (Urban Decay has great dark rich colors) and sweep it across my eyelid, between the lid and brow (only in the middle) across the arch of the entire eye but only in the middle/contour area. It’s rich and full but the light color on the brow and lid makes it work wonders by enhancing the color of your eyes. Makeup, breauty, beauty care and cosmetics are very importnat to do correctly.

I have bluish-green eyes so I use lots of plums and purples, light pinks and some gold. I have used a lot of different eyeliners and found the finest for my eyes are;

Urban Decay (not the glitter ones)

Arbonne (black and brown only)

Clarins (any of them)

I use eyeliner on my lid and very little on the bottom

That is it, I can use these three eyeliners only, I usually buy waterproof which I love but your preference, and however, these beauty tips are for sensitive eyes and what works for me.

We have all read the magazines and looked online for the top beauty tips available but I can tell you from one real person to another, these items above, makeup and beauty care work the best for me. Your face is the first thing most people will see; make them remember it by beautiful eyes and perfect makeup. Whatever you are doing, remember, you have one face and you need to make it as beautiful as you can. In my case, I am getting older and love all the beauty tips that I have learned and hope that you have learned something new today.

I rarely ever use make up. I do when I have to if I am a part of a wedding party.

I am partial to Estee Lauder and Lancome so those are what I use when I have to wear makeup. It is good to know other products as well for the eye make up.

Thank you for this, Ladybird33. It is very timely.

Ah, I can't live without even just a little eyeliner during the day. I have sensitive eyes too, but I find that the more expensive brands tend to irritate them more, so I stick to the BYS you can get from discount variety stores here in Aus. It sucks to pay $45 for an eyeliner that hurts!

I used to work in the makeup industry, was great for getting free samples! Luckily I'm still in touch with a few of my old colleagues...Where would I be without them ;)
