This is good news for all publishers and webmasters who wants to increase more their revenue. Adsense is not just for ads anymore but a place to add video content to your site. These new feature will enable you to earn extra revenue by placing video units from Youtube. You simply add a little code to your site or blog and just a matter of seconds, a clickable ADS appears at top or bottom of the video player. The ADS appearing are non-intrusive and will depend of what category you selected. You can even customize the color scheme of the player to match/blend to your site. This a huge advantage to webmasters and bloggers. Follow the simple procedures on how to setup and link your YouTube and Google Adsense accounts.

How to link YouTube Account and Adsense Account

Assuming you already have YouTube and Adsense Account, linking both accounts is really simple.

  1. Logged in to both YouTube and Adsense accounts.
  2. In your Adsense Setup Tab, choose video units as the product and click the Video Asense Video units button.
  3. You'll be taken to YouTube site and you will be prompted to confirm the link. You will have to enter your email address, phone number and postal code to complete the link.

Why I don't see the video units?

Okay it really sounds easy, but to tell you when I first try following the procedure it didn't get me there, I don't see any video units. I had both YouTube and Adsense Account but then I don't see video units that suppposedly under Adsense Setup Tab.I keep looking every tabs but it wasn't there. I was thinking that I should probably contact Adsense about this and ask out why I am not seeing it, but I don't want to wait another day or more, and so I dugg up the net for answers. Here's what I find.

  1. Logged in to both YouTube and Adsense account.
  2. Click this link to take you to the video units section even though you don't see in your account.
  3. Check and accept the terms and condition box.
  4. Confirm the linkage in your YouTube account by filling the necessary information.

Create and Customize

Create customized Adsense-enabled video players for publishing to websites or blogs, using keywords or pre-selected premium content. You can change the colors and contents of the player at any time, and all instances of that player will automatically update to the new settings.

  1. Logged in to your YouTube account.
  2. Now to go to Accounts then under Monetization Tools choose Adsense Players.

  3. Click the button Create Adsense Player.
  4. Next provide the title, description, theme, layout, category or automated content.
  5. Click Generate Code.
  6. Now paste this code on your Blog or Websites.

That's it!!! Your own video content in your blog or website to earn you additional revenue from ADS.

hot dorkage, nope it doesn't have to be your own video. The videos showing ADS are coming from advertisers. Just specify the category of videos and embed the code to your site or blog.

It took me ages to implement these ads and i wish i had come here first for simple directions!

I would like to know if any one has any success in using Youtube vid units!! I did have them on some of my blogs, but removed because of poor performance!

I also have AdSense for search boxes on many of my blogs and have relocated them many times and never earn anything worth writing about!!
