A Haiku - In The Middle

"Before and After" but what of Now?

In the span of Eternity, "The Middle" is now.

Maybe too soon now

To say this is “The Middle”.

Life’s short though, it is.

Some might say “Surely,

You must be halfway there now.”

Perhaps they are right.

I believe I came

And one day soon I will go.

Now is in between.

I came from somewhere.

I am going on soon, too.

To somewhere better.

Midstream in my time,

Past, present, future, and now.

Grasp now? Yes, I can.

Alpha, Omega,

From start to finish He is.

“The Middle” is mine.

Not knowing when we are going to leave this planet, make us wonder when is really the turning point of a full life. Great Haiku Perspicacious! Lots of thought to ponder, since no one knows when we've reached that middle time of our life.

Tell that to the suicidal challenger begging the policeman to shoot him.

the realizations of our life smetimes find us staring straight into our own face. all humans once in their life have this moment . it is truly an experience but we hardly ever like to think about it.

great write

ImKarn23 - I am finally granting you permission to borrow the term. Let me read how you use it. It should be a whiz-banger!

Mhatter99 - I haven't seen your limericks lately, but especially the unique someone I was long ago would definitely not have wanted to die then, although in Vietnam I was willing to, if that would have been of benefit to those I was willing to have sacrifices for. Three more children was probably a greater sacrifice.
