A Poem About Mankind and The Universe: Heaven's Gate
Heaven's Gate
Out of nothingness a big bang
The universe from darkness sprang
Creating worlds and asteroids
From giant matterless cosmic voids
Born of chaos and disorder
Follow rules of natural order
To create primordial home
Far beneath celestial dome
And we travel through time and space
Moves with imperceptible pace
Pass the sun to galactic core
Enthralled by worlds yet to explore
Curious; we gaze with wonder
Dreaming of the wide blue yonder
Marvel at the awesome notion
Life in perpetual motion
In our brief earthly existence
Bound by gravity resistance
Can we transcend the confusion
Life out there pure illusion
We yearn to fly elements of stars
Earth Venus Jupiter and Mars
Memories echo yesterday
Time far beyond the milky way
The elusive Eden we seek
Will surrender its great mystique
Will angels wait at heaven's gate
Where fate of man they will debate
Will he return to save man's soul
Will worlds explode into black hole
Cosmos expanding growing fast
To unite in one final blast
