Cowards of Darkness ( a poem of reconciliation)
They shall, indeed, reap that, the dark evilness, this they may sew,
The cowards, those who hide in shadows, fearing a just retribution.
While the good, the purest in heart, all do so struggle to understand,
Those who would destroy, by their hatred, in depth, its only contribution.
The lame of mind, the vile and the most impure, unworthy of all souls,
Prompted by their terrible lust for power, as fear, to each of them, cajoles.
Without any gain, as they, in dealing death, such a stressful life of pain,
Bring annihilation so justly to themselves, as in their attempts, to explain.
A usurping of religious beliefs, as misled, its warped methods, so slanting,
Dare to serve a higher power, when in fact, they themselves, do devour.
Their unfortunate decisions so made, by loud protests and their ranting.
To meltdown, fall apart, in the end, while each to await their midnight hour.
People of the world unite in greatest strength, God ordained, in its length,
Wipe clean the earth's face, this sore on humanity, its horrible disgrace.
Deal them a like hurt, as with their fists of fire, the wicked ones, to conspire.
Expose their fear of all truth and goodness, love and brotherhood, to replace.
Cowards of darkness, in their sanctuary, veils where they hide, shake in fear,
The uniting of all good, of the right, bring them our own fight, to draw near.
Reveal their foolish causes, unmask evil spirits, as the falseness disappears.
All powerful, the mighty spirit of our God, to bring our smiles, end our tears.
