Decree
We played in the sands that bring us tomorrow
As we honored a fellowship on that day.
We reassured each other that we could play
In the kingdom of men and not betray.
Now, we stand in the days that have followed,
United, one by one by trusted hands
And not a single fault could near command
That we are less than honorable men.
We raise our heads to a clear blue sky
And hold the hand of another man in victory
For in this life that we own is a humble decree
And we acknowledge it as our sanctuary
Never hide from us your tempted eyes
For we believe you too are free.
Spy upon a life in the churning sea
And come to know that you were meant to be.
