Happy Birthday, My Dear Friend! A Tribute to Ruby Jean Fuller, a.k.a Always Exploring
Birthday Tribute from Surabhi Kaura And Friends. 1 min, 56secs.
“I think the key to growing old gracefully, is by doing what you love to do, mine is writing.” – Ruby Jean Fuller.
One of the best accolades one can have from work, does not necessarily come from the manager or employer, but from the clients themselves. There is nothing as satisfying as a client telling us how kind; how caring; how nice we are; to see or hear them recommending us to their friends. I guess that’s why employers ask their employees to send out so many of these surveys, that we see on line.
They want to know if their employee was good, kind, efficient, satisfying …, as ultimately it makes good business sense to do so.
There is another kind of Love that really excels in the Customer Care Department. It does not have to rely on pleasing the boss, but it is so loving, so charming; so spontaneous, that it can also be funny. Like the clients I mentioned above, friends also feel this Love and respond accordingly. I feel that our Ruby Jean Fuller, a.k.a, Always Exploring, here on Hub Pages, displays such wonderful and inspirational attributes.
A great many excellent Hubbers say such nice things about her, which in itself, is a tribute to her goodness; her self-esteem; her inner beauty, poise and charisma…not to mention she gave herself to a caring profession, as a Registered nurse.
One of the most loved Hubbers here, Billybuc, is a vibrant devotee of life; a lover of all things wholesome, natural, beautiful, artistic …and speaking about Ruby, he had this to say:
“Life is just so strange. Just when you say "ah-ha" and decide you understand it all, another curve comes your way and sets you spinning for clarification.
I grew up thinking friendships were nurtured, one on one, face to face, proximity being the key, and then I joined Hub Pages, forging special bonds with people I have never met face-to-face and probably never will.....and Ruby is one of those people.
Ruby is like apple pie.....a fine chocolate....a roaring fire on a winter's night.....a plush comforter on a bed....she is everything I enjoy about people and yet continues to peel away layers of herself, showing me more things about her to enjoy.
I am honoured to call Ruby my friend. Happy Birthday, Ruby!” -Bill Holland.
CHEERFULNESS
Ruby has many, many assets, but one I most certainly admire, is her cheerfulness. It is such an admirable virtue. Cheerfulness gives us everything. Like the childlike heart, even if we are eighty or more, it can make us feel like seven, and is highly engaging, to those who come in contact with us. Old minds are fossilised, but the heart of the child is eternal, like the birthless and deathless Love, playing in Infinity’s-Garden. (Some paraphrasing from Sri Chinmoy’s writing’s)
Ruby’s heart is vast, and she has served nobly in God’s Heart, by her compassionate and soulfully self-giving approach to hospital patients, for a good part of her life.
“The Heart’s vastness is founded upon oneness, says the great visionary Sri Chinmoy, and oneness is always expansion.”
Ever active and very much alive, Ruby writes engaging, humorous, poetic and excellent Hubs here on Hub Pages. Here are a sample of what some hubbers have to say:
“My goodness this was amazing... a bold triumph... it'll stain my heart for years to come... brilliant...” – Frank Atanacio.
Ruby is also humane, a woman of conscience, and her friends notice this admirable quality. This is expressed beautifully, in the words of Marcoujor below:
“Oh Ruby,
Lenny has left his paw print on my heart...and your writing leaves tears in my eyes.
It is truly wonderful to have you back inspiring with your tales of humanity, love and hope - more, please.
Love you and hugs, mar.”
Faith Reaper, another dear friend of Ruby, had this to say:
“Awweee, Ruby, this is the sweetest most heartrending story I have read of late! You have certainly written it so well and it is memorable, something all writers dream of ...for their writing to be memorable...” (In response to the story of a little neglected dog called Danny, who found happiness with the homeless, on the streets of L.A.
Her poetry: Ruby is also a wonderful poetess, and finds time to do some reflective pieces, as well as her other sterling works. Here is a more recent reflective piece here:

I wish to offer this poem to Ruby, in honour of her birthday:
The Soul of the Rose

Come! Sweet Longing! A Sonnet And Loving Tribute to Ruby
Sweet longing!
You who played the role of Sleeping Beauty for eons;
Awoke cascading rosebuds in my Heart,
Come!
The strong wafts of thy aroma drunken me,
And I swoon at the portals of perennial Bliss.
Cover this sweet inebriation,
With thy umbrella of sanctuary;
While I taste the quintessence of your music,
In the sweet serenity of a lovers Delight.
Come! Let thy ceaseless flames,
Burn with the Love of Surrender,
Lighting candles in a Soul on fire,
Calling out His name.

Quotes from Nellieanna and Ruby's Sister
“You have two choices, either you live to be old or you die.” – Ruby’s Sister
Nellieanna's is a response to my choice of poll on gracefully surrendering to old age, and is as such pertinent.
“Oh, yes. Surrendering in many ways is the essence of spirituality, and also, it can be appreciated, many times in many ways, a practical response to the nitty-gritty of living. One need not buck and fight every challenge, unless it's a worthy one for a worthy cause.
Many people feel personally challenged by trivial things, or by things profound beyond their own ability to change or have effect, when real issues they can and need to address go wanting. “ – Nellieanna H Hay, A Child of Beauty.

Quotes on Love
"My love throbbingly says: “God is all blessing.” God’s Love smilingly says: “My child is all gratitude.”
Love radiates the life of harmony,
brightens the joy consciousness and sharpens the sword of intuition.
Love is always ready to meet man’s every soulful demand.
Love conquers all that is unlike God.
It is, indeed, supreme over all.....
No time-born desire can rend my love of light.
My love of light flies beyond the widespread net of death.
Mine is the love that has the birthless origin and the deathless end."- Sri Chinmoy
"This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you." - John 15: 12.
