I Don't Fight Alone

As the world tries to freeze my soul

My heart

My me

I take the advice and tuck it down

Hide it

Ignore it

Should I fight with fire

With vengence

With the evil that attacks me

Or do I turn my cheek

To you that heals

That Supports

That defends

If I trust you as I do

I won't faint

Won't turn to human vengence

But I will pray for my enemy

I will love my accuser

I will give to those that take

I will trust you

And with that trust

My meek will turn to quiet strength

My sad turns to grateful joy

My soul turns to soft clay

And you will mold me into success, peace, and love
