Making My Way to Erin- Poem by Becca Wood
Making My Way to Erin
I've seen your beauty in still motion
But my mind gives you the best of notions
I wish to meet you in person someday
I wish to see your thirty shades of green meet skies of gray
Your devoted culture allures me
I could leave my land tomorrow across the wretched sea
My eyes burn green for you
Through this polluted hue
Your lands are untouched like a virgin to corruption
And hope they never see the modern day eruption
May your lands stay pure
To my heart you are the cure
But 'til the day we meet
May the dream stay sweet
