My Quintessence: A Writer's Reflection
My Quintessence: A Writer’s Reflections
“Words are, of course, the most powerful drug used by mankind. “
Rudyard Kipling
The right to write comes with great responsibility. Being a writer doesn’t mean we can pour out all those deep hidden emotions and lambast our readers with all those torrents of words… After all we own the keyboard and we can type all the things we want to say, right? For words have the power to create or to destroy. The power to build a harmonious relationship or severe a strong foundation of friendship. It may hurt the person spoken to; nevertheless it may boomerang to the speaker. Words create either a healthy energy or a poisonous venom.
This was not supposedly the tempo of my words, for I want to maintain a harmonious relationship with my fellow hubbers… After all they’re always there for me, supporting me all the way. My fragile emotion was irked up by one who answers a question. Why can’t he just ignore the question instead of leaving that nasty comment? This hub was simply, supposedly to be written in order for you to have a glimpse of the writer behind those hubs…
Please bear with me if I sounded feisty a little while earlier…
Why do I write?
More than a year ago I suffered from depression; I was like a zombie then. Yet, a friend suggested that I would frame words or more and create a poem. Presto, I published my first poem on Facebook, then later on I gain writer friend who have share the same interests. From then on, I share with them some poems whenever something inspires me.
What do I write?
My topics range from deep seated emotions like depression, anger, loneliness, betrayal; social issues, educational system, even stories I’ve read or movies I watched; natural phenomenon, friendship, tips, advice. Anything this brain could fathom.
So that’s it, I haven’t published so many. Three or more poems were denied because of duplicity, I will try to republish it later. I really thought they were good, yet Hub declined it.
Anyway, I am always thankful to my fellow Hubbers who are very supportive. Keep up the good work guys… Happy hub hopping…
Whatever words we utter should be chosen with care for people will hear them and be influenced by them for good or ill.
