On Getting To Know Haunty--An Interview
Paying a visit to a friend
We are in this City Budapest that suffered a loss of 250,000 Jewish inhabitants through Nazi and Arrow Cross Party genocide during 1944 and early 1945. We have to drive east and find Haunty Or Bela' Mongyi. A Hungarian with a humor like us. So far everything was fine when we returned to his home, but this time to pay him back with our own Interview, and he knew us, and he was willing to answer our questions with an edge...
AT HIS HOME AGAIN..
This time we offered him to see our realm and how the Lord was able to write with peace of mind above the tribulations of Planet Earth.
Well Haunty, you have seen our TeleQuasi Transportator...
"Sure Lord, is amazing how well you can make use of this piece of gadgetry," He said, while he was pouring some coffee for us. We decided to take him out of this world and he agreed!
He was in that state of mind that could get him ready to face his own humanity, and be honest in answering. He might try to think twice, before answering but he is already heading to our piece of Heaven. He was taking his chances and knew that things would come up in this interview, but he was cool and honest.
We warned him that his mind will feel like... being attacked and he will have to deal with his own demons, meaning he will have to stop fighting against our inquisitive mind. But due to our nature and always ready to confront an upcoming threat, he never kept his guard down, until we prompted him to cool it down... and then he felt relieved.
There we go. All is set and the interview takes its normal course:
Do you believe in reincarnation Haunty?
Certainly I do Sir. People often confuse the idea of reincarnation with that of rebirth, thinking that reincarnation is a Buddhist thing. In truth, there is a difference. Reincarnation comes from Hinduism wherein believers think of themselves as eternal souls that never die, but manifest in a sequence of corporeal bodies forever.
Whereas, in Buddhism, people think you do not have a soul that could reincarnate, but that you are reborn in a similar way as a flame is transmitted from one candle to another: although the first flame and the last flame are clearly related, the two are not identical and there is no need for a soul to exist in order for the transmission to take place. I choose to believe that I have a soul, therefore I can say I believe in reincarnation, but not in a Buddhist way.
What's is your opinion about soul-mates? We feel like asking you this one too...
I have one.
We were curious as always, are you from Budapest?
No.(grinning) Actually, I am Hungarian, but never lived in Budapest. I live in a smaller city some 50 miles east of Budapest.
Okay...are you metro-sexual or on the borderline. I wouldn't buy a purse for me for sure.
I have never heard of metro-sexuality before you mentioned it, but now that I know what it means, I guess I'm just an enhanced version of it known as a yuppie sissy boy, a heterosexual man with homosexual attributes. (He didn't fight this one)
How do you get inspired or like you said, do you take drugs or how do you get the best from you?
Mostly I just drink. No drugs.
What kind of job do you do to make a living? We told you about us.
I work in a coal mine. The pay is good, so I do 12-hour shifts shoveling 20 tons of rock a day. Living the dream, we are like one big happy family moving mountains.(honest)
Blue or red?
I don't understand the question.(he kind avoided this one)
Ever been broken hearted? I have a feeling you did, with that smile...!
I have been broken hearted once. That was the worst time of my life so.. I promised myself never to fall in love again. I broke that promise.(smiling)
Why do you love Amerindians and History in general?
I like Amerindians, because they have super cool headdresses and dance pretty. I am interested in History because I'm an idealist and out of the misguided belief that the past holds the answers to the questions of the future. By profession, I'm an economist so it is fair to say that it's also my job to like history (study the past).
The cliche question: Where do you see yourself in 5 years, maybe 10?
In five years, I see myself with my wonderful family and in a better job. In ten, I see myself still having the wonderful family and an even better job.(good boy)
The craziest things you did for love?
Come on you are such an...
Lord I said no comment..!
Oh well, I give up. Favorite Songs or groups?
I have a favorite song but I don't know the title or the name of the band. It's a pretty love song that my love chose to be our song. Gosh, I really should've looked at the title! As a kid I listened to black metal, but now I like pretty much anything that is... good.
How... You know? This nick Haunty, how was it born?
As a kid I was also a gamer. There was this cult game series called 'Thief', which had all these zombies and haunts in it. Back in the day we wrote a funny fan fiction series about this game and one of my favorite characters was a haunt, basically a skeleton in a uniform that patrols the abandoned crypts of some noble family. Hence the name Haunty.
Neat! Do you believe in God?
Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. I am undecided. I'd like to believe in God, but I also haven't seen a single sign that would suggest his existence. In fact, if I believe in God, I don't think he would recognize the difference between good and bad, on the same basis as we do. On the other hand, I respect other people's beliefs and despise those who attack them.
I'm impressed by your sincerity Haunty, Just one last question since is New Year, Miniskirts or beer?
Vodka. This is the Heart of Europe my Lord!
I want to thank you My friend for giving us an opportunity in getting to know the man behind Haunty.
"You are welcome Sir, and can we go back home?"
"You are home already. Want you to open your eyes slowly, take a deep breath... There you go, excellent! You are laying on your bed facing up and you certainly did good my appreciated Haunty!"
"Thanks my Lord. This was really cool!"
"Thanks Bela'"
