Pantoum:Our Happy Insanity, Love.
Basal Ganglia
Pantoum: Our Happy Insanity, Love.
What do we know about the creation of love?
It is a question asked throughout all time.
Does it come from down below or up above.
It eats us, consumes us and ravages our mind.
It is question asked throughout all time.
No one quite understand, is it pain or pleasure?
It eats us, consumes us and ravages our minds.
But above all else love is our greatest treasure.
No one quite understands, is it pain or pleasure?
It is our rattling loins.
But above all else love is our greatest treasure?
Or is it our hopped up hormones in our groins?
It is our rattling loins.
Is it as instinctual as our basal ganglia telling us to kill?
Or is it our hopped up hormones in our groins?
Or is love a choice made by free will?
Is it as instinctual as our basal ganglia telling us to kill?
Are we slaves to our glands?
Or is love a choice made by free will?
Or is it been predetermined in God’s hands?
Are we slaves to our glands?
If we are rational we can turn love off and not go insane.
Or is it been predetermined in God’s hands?
Without love life is so mundane.
If we are rational we can turn love off and not go insane.
But without love we would be so bored.
Without love life is so mundane.
So rip each others clothes off love, torrid.
But without love we would be so bored
Make love until you have lost your breath.
So rip each others clothes off, love torrid.
And you will smile even in death.
Make love until you have lost your breath.
Love and insanity are the spice of life.
And you will smile even in death.
But only with your wife.
Our happy insanity, love.

I had absolutely no idea this type of poem existed. And instead of making a fool of myself trying to explain something I do not fully comprehend, I will provide you with a link. You can reference it yourself. It was fun to write though and I recommend anyone interested to give it a try. But follow the link so you can navigate it if you are not familiar with this rare form of poetry. And I assure you, you will love this type of poetry.
Dedication
This poem is dedicated to everyone who let go of rational thinking and fooled their basal ganglia and feel madly passionately and irrevocably in love. You are bravely insane and I commend you as well as admire you.
I most certainly can't be the only writer who has considered whether love is real or it is a biochemical reaction in our brains which makes us go completely mad. And I also can't be the only person to have considered let go of love or completely embracing it.
For all of you with the courage of your love this poem is dedicated to you. Love completely and tirelessly and you will met your death with great bliss.
