Precious Few (poem)
The stories which we shared
The marvels we have fared
Win some of them
Does it really matter in the long run
Sifting secrets from the golden sands
Moments of a precious few
Other lovers wished they knew
-
What darknesses we dared
What whispers well prepared
And over what
To turn another cheek and fly away
Only to return for a forgotten kiss
Moments of a precious few
Other hearts could beat so true
-
Over mysteries we cared
Over passions which were flared
Do we recall
Tangled in confused ticking of a mind
Shadows which cowered from familiar smile
Moments of a precious few
The light of hope a dream once drew
-
For all which once was aired
Forever has repaired
And once again
Befuddled love stories wander about
Warm hugs to others knowing they are there
Moments of a precious few
Which our winds now amble through
