Starlight: Poetry and Other Words
Starlight
The sky above reflects our hearts,
As shooting stars across they dart,
Pinpoints of light against the gray,
Confusion lies, but truth must stay,
The day must reach a tragic end,
As starlight shines, our hearts will mend.
"A true star doesn't shine for itself, but rather illuminates those around it. Then, not only can it see clearly, but, in the process, it gives sight to others."~Ebower
Star Flies
"Your love-song leads the stars to dance",
He said as in a magic trance,
I laughed and smiled to call his lie,
I said, "They couldn't if they tried!"
He winked at me, unscrewed a jar,
We viewed the dancing from afar.
Flights of Fancy
Wish, Wish, Wish,
As stars slowly swish,
Across my sky, across my dreams,
A brighter light then pale moonbeams,
Bursting colors filled with abstract trances,
The stars twinkle gladly when the sky romances,
Imagination abounds as midnight ensues,
The velvet night whispers, visions come into view.
"For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream."~Vincent Van Gogh
