Temper
A Thought For My Loved One
Spitting the dummy out,
throwing the toys out of the pram.
Nothing can appease you,
no matter how I can.
I didn't sign up for this,
all those years ago.
I wanted wedded bliss,
not night's left out in the cold.
Where did we go wrong?
we followed all the advice.
Now I see in your eye's,
no love, just as cold as ice.
I love you so much,
the term, I believe, is it hurts.
But try as I might,
I can not repeat the verse.
No more loving glances,
No more sweet summer's touch.
I now spend time alone,
Yet still loving you so much.
Let's try to capture,
the feeling we once felt.
Growing old together,
is what made our hearts melt.
Summer is on the way,
Let's take a picnic by the lake,
Bring me home in the evening,
make love to me, make me feel awake.
Oh darling, how I love you,
My heart has always belonged
to the nicest, most treasured man,
that this face looks upon.
