The Light in the Window

Along the road of life

In the 'back roads' of my mind

There dwells that one person

That one place, with

That one special someone

Who I know will welcome me

No matter the time

No matter the circumstance

Somewhere I can always feel at home

Taking time to reflect on life's journey

Where I can be me, myself

With no call to judgement

Acceptance at its highest level

And my world is at peace

Thank you dear friend

For being you and allowing me to be me

Always in my mind is that 'light in the window'

Beckoning me and letting me know

I will always have a place to dwell

Thank you, dearest friend

"That one special someone

Seriously Trish- thank you for beautiful thoughts! I enjoyed Glenn too! He sure can pick a guitar and sing!

Hi Micky,

I so love Glen's song, it was the inspiration for this hub. I wrote it with one person in mind however it does apply to one other person as well. I've been fortunate in my life to have these people in it.

I certainly want to believe that you have someone like this in your life. From what I can tell you are a gentle soul :)

the light in the window .. is burning brightly here at your hubs - and it's the intellectual equivalent of comfort food - warm, reasurring and beneficial to the body, mind and soul!

Nice to meet you, epigramman,

I think you just left me speechless :)

Seriously, what a lovely compliment. I'm glad you enjoyed it. This was my first (and last) attempt at poetry, if that's even what this piece can be called.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and welcome to HP :)
