   Are you thinking about taking your writing elsewhere?
   
   I'm just wondering how many hubpages writers out there are thinking about taking their writing elsewhere.

   No, I am not. HP is not my only outlet. It's one of a few sites I use in addition to my own blogs. Additionally, I've just begun this HP journey. Why would I want to pull out before it has had a chance to begin paying off? Finally, HP for me is more than a publishing site. It's a community of writers with whom I enjoy spending part of my day.

   I've tried "elsewhere" in the past and didn't have a very good experience with any of the other sites, either. So I guess I'll stick here.

   No way. I've tried other sites and to me, they just don't work as well as HP. I didn't hardly get any views. Whereas with HP, I've established a formula that works quite well for me.
   
   Speaking only for me, it's best to put all your efforts in one site and see great results vs. writing for several with no results - just only spreading yourself thin.

   I'm here because I'm diversifying. I write several blogs of my own, I write on Yahoo! Voices, I publish Slideshares, and I plan on doing some writing on Squidoo as well. No single platform is a magic bullet to success, and no single platform is guaranteed to be successful forever.
   
   So publish at multiple places, and you've got a better chance of success.
   
   As an aside, I don't see why people are leaving and getting upset over idling. If a hub gets idled, then it's getting next to no traffic. That means you weren't making any income anyway. I can see people getting upset cause they're emotionally attached to their work, but that's bad business.
   
   If you can't accept the fact that most of what you produce will (commercially) be a failure, then publishing is not the industry to be in.

      Brian, how do you handle the exclusive to hubpages thing.  You just publich other things on other places or write a blurb about what you published here and link back?  Thanks so much for the information

   NEVER i love hub pages. i dont know of any other sites but im am here to stay. i love the design and the people are nice and to me it is user friendly. are you considering leaving? if so why?

      wellspoken, I am not considering leaving, but I have seen people who are planning on taking their writing elsewhere and writers who have taken their writing elsewhere. I was just wondering who else is.

   Like the rest of the responders here, I love HubPages. I have written for Ezine Articles and Demand Studios, and HubPages is by far much better. Ezine Articles was easy to publish my own articles; however, the traffic wasn't as good as HubPages. There platform wasn't as user-friendly either. Demand Studios is a memory that I wish I could get rid of. They take away the writer's style and basically torture the author. They put such a bad taste in my mouth that I gave up writing on ezines for a couple of years. When I decided to write again, I was trying to determine if it would be HubPages or InfoBarrel. I wrote one article for each in December. InfoBarrel's platform was not user-friendly whatsoever. It had so many problems that I got in touch with the CEO there. He was nice enough to respond and asked me to try a few different things, but parts of my article kept disappearing. It was a big headache! HubPages is just a godsend! It is so user-friendly, and I love the community here. I also was accepted into the Apprenticeship program in January, and the administrator of it has been awesome. I have learned so much on how to create useful and interesting hubs that will hopefully bring traffic. I don't plan on going anywhere else... unless of course, they change for the negative.

   I love it here. I do post links to my paranormal hubs on my website but as far as just writing elsewhere and being done here I don't think that will ever happen, at least in my case.
