Burn Calories Cleaning House
It is a FACT that cleaning house vigorously can burn 200 calories per hour. It's said to be equivalent to a workout, jogging or running. Yay! Now thats a motivation to not be fat or a slob. Heres some great ideas to help your cleaning become a workout while you get your house sparking and fresh.
Dusting: Remove items from furniture then with your cleaner and a rag get to swirling. Your arm swirling vigorously will soon shine your lovely furniture and build arm muscles. Take time to wax once and a while this will work your forearm, especially if you cover all the furniture in the house.
Trash Removing: Literally run from room to room with a large trash bag emptying all the waste baskets and retrieving any trash lying around. Then run out the trash to the curb like your fixing to miss the trash man. The fresh air will be nice too.
De-cluttering project: Once a week start a decluttering project where you complete disassemble the cluttered items and put them back neatly. This will burn calories from brain energy, weightlifting and all limb movements.
Bathroom scrubbing: Scrubbing the toilet, tub, counters and floors will definitely require some squatting and arm exercise.
Vacuuming: Vacuuming definitely exerts the upper body so get plugged in and zoom.
Hand mopping: Old fashioned hand mopping is a great way to really detail your floors extra clean and really get a workout.
Laundry: Become a laundry weight lifter and go from room to room collecting laundry at once. The folding will be great for pacing and arm workout since you will have to deliver all the folded laundry.
Basket Sorting: Rush through the house with a large basket and collect all the misc. items laying around then go deliver them to their right locations. Thats sure a workout!
Dishes: Give your dishwasher a break once and a while and wash by hand!
