How To Make A Million Dollars Without Working Another Day In Your Life!

Updated on November 15, 2016

I know why you're here. The picture above explains it all. You want to be a "MILLIONAIRE". The reasoning doesn't matter. Whether its something as selfish as wanting a big house and flashy car or something as selfless as feeding the poor. Either way, I think I have found the answer. The answer begins with the beginning. The beginning of any millionaire's...millions, starts with an idea. Now I'm not talking about rich kids who were born into money, I am talking about their great grand parents, the one's who started the wealth. They got rich after having an idea. Now I have one.

You see even if a person worked hard and saved up all their money until the day they had a million dollars in the bank, they still had the IDEA to save up all this money. Then all they did was put that idea into action. Now I know you might be getting a little anxious, but please bear with me. All of this build up is needed to ensure that you and me both (yes I am in the middle of trying out my idea right now and you are helping) know and understand what we want before we go out to get it. Lets begin with the word...

MILLIONAIRE

Definition:

"An individual whose net worth or wealth is equal to or exceeds one million units of currency. It can also be a person who owns one million units of currency in a bank account or savings account. Depending on the currency, a certain level of prestige is associated with being a millionaire, which makes that amount of wealth a goal for some, and almost unattainable for others." -Wikipedia.

Did you read that. The most important part of that definition to me is not the part that talks about money. It's the part that talks about how making a million dollars is "a goal for some and almost unattainable to other." Why is the goal of making a million dollars so popular? It's because that's the number we all respect as being the pinnacle of success. Once someone reaches that goal you consciously or subconsciously have a certain amount of respect for that person. But the respect is not the most important part of reaching this monetary goal. The most important part of reaching this goal is...reaching this goal.

If you can make a million dollars once, you can do it again. At least that's what I think. Look at Donald Trump. The man's gone bankrupt more times than I can remember and he's not a millionaire he's a step up, a billionaire! But lets set our hopes a little lower for now, huh?

Okay by now you probably want me to get started right? Well Lets go.

Above is a picture of Nasir Jones or "Nas" as he is known by several music fans. Nas is not only a Hip Hop artist, but he is also a poet. So if you are one of those people who does not like the genre and you want to walk away from this article I counter with the fact that he is also a poet. He does not rap in excess about the mainstream bullshit (cars, clothes, hoes). If you don't trust me and you want to skip down to the end, fine...go ahead. I warn you again though that you should read this whole thing from start to finish to have the best possible opportunity for it to work.

In Hip Hop there is always a battle between one man (or crew) trying to convince the general public that he (they) are better than anyone else. Bravado, machismo, this is what you need to survive in the game.

Nas is considered by many to be the Greatest Rapper of All Time or the G.O.A.T. as some would call it. Here's a little quick background on him.

  • He grew up in the Queenbridge Houses of Long Island City,Queens, NY.
  • His father is a well known jazz musician.
  • Nas's parents divorced in 1985, and he dropped out of school in the ninth grade. He educated himself about African culture through the Five Percent Nation, the Nuwaubians, the Bible and the Qur'an.
  • His first album "Illmatic" is considered by most to be the greatest rap album ever.
  • He declared Hip Hop 'dead' a few years back, citing his problem with the watered down, ignorant, foolishness that was being shoveled down youngsters throats.
  • He has many times lost money for refusing to change his style up to cater to the watered down mainstream music that lacks substance.
  • He smokes a lot of marijuana. Hey go Google "smart people who smoked marijuana" You will be surprised at the names that come up.
  • He just got divorced from his first wife, whom he just had a child with.

Now you might be wondering why I am mentioning this person. Some of you, if racist may have already tuned out due to the mention of Hip Hop (sadly racism is still alive and extremely well on the internet), but if you stuck around I'm going to tell you the significance of this Artist..

Nas just released his eleventh studio album "Life is Good". The title is kind of suprising due to the fact that he just got divorced from his wife who just gave birth to their son (while they were going through the divorce). In a verse from one of his songs he even goes on to say "I should be angry and depressed." But he's not. In fact there is one line from one of his other songs that is so positive that it sparked the idea that I am about to share with you right now.

I wish I could go in depth about how good this album is, how you can "visualize the words" which is something he has always been known for. But we are here to talk about money. All I will say is I have provided a link to Amazon.com at the bottom of this page. On Amazon you can listen to samples of album tracks for free. If it's your first time listening to Hip Hop open your mind and sit back. Nas is one of the best, you will be impressed. Now back to the money.

On the track "Reach Out" ft. Mary J. Blige, Nas says:

3:45AM can't sleep, can't dream
I'm stuck, money problems pop up
How will I survive
Guess it's best to decide not to decide
So that's my decision
Whatever happens happens
I keep making my millions
Can see myself in Presidential campaign dinners
But I’m passing blunts around a bunch of gang members
When you’re too hood to be in them Hollywood circles
And you’re too rich to be in that hood that birthed you
And you become better than legends you thought were the greatest
And outgrow women you love and thought you could stay with
Life become clearer when you wipe down your mirror
And leave notes around for yourself to remember
I like to teach and build
With brothers about how easy it is to reach a mil
All you need is a skill

For a breakdown of the lyrics and what they mean you can click on this link Rap Genuis. This is a clever website that takes the lyrics from songs and explains what they mean line for line. The best rappers lyrics are in subliminal codes that would lose most people who are not into the genre. Anyway, once again; back to the money.

Lets look at the first lines. He says, "whatever happens happens, I keep making my millions". In another song on the album he compares himself to Donald Trump who I mentioned earlier, by saying that his money has gone, "up, down, up". This confirms my theory that after you make 1 million you CAN do it again, probably more easily than the first time.

Now lets look at the last line. He says, "I like to teach and build/with brother about how easy it is to make a mil (million dollars)/all you need is a skill. Yes there we go. Read that again.I listened to that song 10 times in a row. The first 3 times was because the song has a great nostalgic feel to it and Nas's wordplay is in rare form. The other eight times was because of that line. And without further ado...Now we are ready for "The Million Dollar Formula."

The Million Dollar Formula

I did all the research for you. I went through article after article. I read books. The answers were the same. Start a business, work hard, save money, sell your stuff on eBay, play the lottery, real estate, etc, etc.

When I first Googled "How to make a million dollars", I saw an article by Marshall Brain, the man behind the popular and lucrative website http://www.howstuffworks.com. This article had some of the same ideas in it as seen before, but I liked the way he broke this down:

A Couple of Easy Ways To Make Money

  1. Win the lottery
  2. Inherit the money
  3. Marry wealth
  4. Get injured and sue

Now these ideas would all work, but how easy to accomplish or common are these? The first two are basically luck and the last two are basically schemes. Sit around waiting for luck to strike you you will be broke before you blink your eyes. Try to scheme your way to the top with out careful planning and a SKILL for scheming and you will be frustrated in the end and or possibly arrested.

SKILL

noun

1.the ability, coming from one's knowledge, practice, aptitude, etc., to do something well: Carpentry was one of his many skills.2.competent excellence in performance; expertness; dexterity:The dancers performed with skill.-Dictionary.com

Nas was right. To make "a mil" all you need is a "SKILL."

If you can figure out what your best SKILL is, you are halfway to the promise land. Let me show you the way. Here is what you've all (including myself) have been waiting for:

The Formula

S + PS = 1M^ (SKILL + PASSION FOR SKILL = 1 MILLION AND UP)

The Million Dollar Formula, Explained:

  1. You figure out your best SKILL. This is something that your are not good at, but great at. Something that you can do easily, accurately, and consistently. For instance some people say they can draw, until someone sits in front of them with a pencil and piece of paper and creates a masterpiece in front of them. You need to be the one who makes the masterpiece, not the other guy/girl.
  2. Make sure this SKILL is something you will not get bored doing. For instance you may be a great cook, but if you hate cooking this will not work. You will hate cooking even more by repeatedly doing something you hate and trying to force yourself to use your cooking skills to make money.
  3. Make sure you have a passion for this SKILL and enjoy using it. For instance, if you are a great cook and don't love cooking, but can make yourself get in the mood if needed, this will not work. You need to love doing it, otherwise you will just plateau at a certain point and not have the energy tor desire to go further.
  4. Find a way to get paid for using this SKILL that you are great at, will not get bored using, and have a passion for. For instance, say you are a great speller and enjoy spelling. Fuck enjoy, you correct spelling when you're reading the damn newspaper. You could get a job as an editor for a newspaper, publishing company, etc. Editors charge novel writers upward of $5000 just to find the mistakes in their writing! Do that enough times in one year and there is your first million!
  5. I did say you in the title that you could make a million "without working another day in your life" right? Well its true. You think actors really feel the way you do when they wake up in the morning and have to get ready for work? If you get paid to do something you love to do, the you will never have to work another day in your life.

PASSION, MOTIVATION, AND CONFIDENCE

I am pretty sure you know the guy in the still above. If not let me introduce you to the G.O.A.T. when it comes to the professional basketball. The Greatest Player of All Time. The one and only, Michael Jordan.

You can click on the video above, but I suggest you do so after reading this breakdown.

It's so funny the way these Michael Jordan classic games have titles. They do it now with some of the stars when they have a big game, but I remember Michael starting it. The "Flu Game", "The 69 Point Game". This one was...

The Shrug Game

The Chicago Bulls VS. The Portland Trailblazers. The 1992 NBA finals. With his team down against a very tough Portland Trailblazer squad, Jordan proceeded to go 6 for 6 from 3-point range, 5 of them in the first half which had then marked an NBA record. If this story ins't motivation enough for you let me go behind the scenes for a second.

There has always been speculation that before the Portland game someone had said that Jordan was a great player but he couldn't shoot that well. Especially from 3-point range. If you know anything about Jordan, you know that he is highly motivated. If you said he couldn't do something on the basketball court he was hell bent on proving you wrong. He shot a free throw with his eyes closed and made it after being dared. Now look up at the video still again. That was Jordan's reaction after hitting his 6th 3-pointer. He didn't mean mug players, he didn't yell at the crowd, he didn't beat on his chest. He simple looked over to the player guarding him and to the crowd and shrugged his shoulders as to say, "I don't know what's happening, I can't turn it off."

Do you have those SKILLS?

RESILIENCE

The Flu Game

The 1997 Finals against the Utah Jazz.. Jordan sick with the flu leads his team to victory. He had to be damn near carried of the court by his teammate Scottie Pippen. Watch the video above.

Some players on the Jazz thought Jordan was faking his illness. After all he was a very cerebral type of player who would use any tricks he could to get over on you, but I have seen people do this before. I have even played some of my best basketball games while sick. It's something about fighting the weakness inside of you and taking control of your body with your mind, overcoming the limitations. This is defiantly possible. And this is something you will need to make that million. Remember those commercials back in the 90's, "I wanna be like Mike", well I'm bringing it back. We all need to be like Mike. Yea I know Mike allegedly has a gambling problem and some other vices, but believe it or not he is human. I am talking about Michael's Passion, motivation, confidence, and resilience. If you couple those things up with your SKILL, you can not be stopped. I promise you.

So I guess the formula changes to:

S(PMCR) = 1M^ (simplified)

SKILL (PASSION) (MOTIVATION) (CONFIDENCE) (RESILIENCE) = 1 MILLION AND UP

PROOF

Some may be asking themselves, why should I be listening to you? How do you know what it takes to be a millionaire? Are you one? The answer is no, I am not. But I just gave you some examples of what it takes to be one, and if you have any common sense you would realize that the examples I just used only help my formula's theory.

They say Jesus was a homeless carpenter who walked the earth in an attempt to spread wisdom to the people. I am not comparing myself to Jesus, but if you believe in that stuff, don't you think it's a little dumb to cast aside logic and wisdom simply due to the mouth from which it comes? And if you DO NOT believe in that stuff don't you think it's a little dumb to cast aside logic and wisdom simply due to the mouth from which it comes?

But don't take my word for it, look at Michael Jordan. Cut from his High School basketball team and told that he wasn't that good. Look at Nas, a High School drop out with a SKILL and passion for poetry. Look at:

Oprah Winfrey

J.K. Rowling

David Geffen

Jay-Z

Celine Dion

Shania Twain

Just to name a few. These people mastered my formula without even knowing it, before it was even made. Still don't believe me? Check out some quotes from a few millionaires curtoesy of millionairemindsetsecrets.com. See if you can find a connection:

“Formal education will make you a living; self-education will make you a fortune.”

~ Jim Rohn

"The way to become rich is to put all your eggs in one basket and then watch that basket."

~ Andrew Carnegie

"Wealth is largely a result of habit."

~ John Jacob Astor

"Abundance is not something we acquire. It is something we tune into."

~Wayne Dyer

"Your wealth can only grow to the extent that you do!"

~ T. Harv Eker

"Wealth is the product of man's capacity to think."

~ Ayn Rand

Money was never a big motivation for me, except as a way to keep score. The real excitement is playing the game”

~ Donald Trump

Most of the people quoted above are Global Elitist, the same type of people who are responsible for our economic downfall. The type of people that we call the top 1%. The same type of people you see me write articles about over and over again, trying to get people to realize the negative effect they are having on our society. But, in their arrogance they have provided us with a confirmation of my formula's theory. Who knows if a million dollars will even be worth anything in the coming months and years ( the way shit is going), but its not really the monetary value that 's important anyway. It's the goal. If you can make a million dollars in this world, you can do anything.

Use this formula. Incorporate it into your life. If you hate your job and can afford to quit, do it. That's right I said QUIT YOUR DAMN JOB!

Stop using your SKILLS to make someone else rich when you could be using them to make you and your family rich. Everyone has at least one SKILL, some have more than one. Maybe you are good at making people laugh. You could be a comedian or comic writer. Lord knows "Saturday Night Live" could use them. You could be the next Seinfeld. Maybe you're a talker. You could be the next Howard Stern or Oprah.

Follow the formula I have just provided and just like Nas, you might one day be saying that, "Life is Good" and actually mean it.

STOP THERE'S MORE

Below is a comment box. Use it. My SKILLS are writing, researching, analyzing, and teaching. If you are confused or conflicted about how to use the SKILLS you possess just leave a question and I will help you figure out where to start. At this point while you guys are reading my article and commenting on it, I will be using my SKILLS to reach my goal, as I get paid for your impressions on this page. This formula has already been proven, but not documented. We together will attempt to prove it correct beyond a shadow of doubt. Thank for reading.
