A Rush to Convict George Zimmerman is Reminiscent of the KKK

The debate between Piers Morgan and Toure of MSNBC, really shows just how this event has spun out of control. There are those attempting to incite more radical blacks to make this out to be more than it is. Toure seems to think this is a pivotal time in America, huh, that is pure rubbish. Unemployment and Iran are those issues, getting pissed off about this Trayvon Martin murder will not pay the bills, will not make the world safer, will not find you a job. It has become all about race.

It is fair to say that many have chosen to convict and hang George Zimmerman, both White and Black without even a trial. Sounds like we learned well from the Ku Klux Klan or KKK, that is EXACTLY how they acted against blacks and now, that is how many of the blacks are now acting. Is this payback? Those that have chosen to try and convict Zimmerman are akin to the KKK, whatever color and they ARE evil racists. They have become the people they have long hated.

The real truth will come out, it always does, even for the KKK it did. For MSNBC Toure to try to incite others by using Twitter and FB is totally wrong for a journalist who is there to report both sides. Using Zmmerman's name in a derogatory manner in Twitter messages is no longer being a journalist.

This case has spun out of control much to fast. The semantics of the words used to describe what happened may be exaggerated and wrongly used. No ones knows. Maybe George thought his nose was busted, yet it was not, yet told police that. Maybe the so called bashing of Zimmerman's head against the sidewalk actually was only once or twice. In either case, there might be no or just little bleeding. In the moment of the confrontation between George and Trayvon, people react without thinking clearly, they panic out of fear, they overreact. I think that is what happened. By Trayvon confronting George, I think George was surprised by it and unprepared and reached for this cell phone. Trayvon, was equally paranoid for many reasons and just reacted by hitting George.

The thing is, we only know there was a scuffle, we do not know what happened before. That is critical. In any case, the KKK is alive in many because of this event, both white and black.

Ah, we have a parrot of Ann Coulter, who made the same argument. Interesting how ideas spread based upon personalities. It would've been more intellectually honest to at least cite her. http://www.mediaite.com/online/ann-coulter-critici...

What evidence do you have that George Zimmerman is innocent?

No one needs any evidence to prove George Zimmerman is innocent. You need to prove that he is guilty of a crime since he is innocent until proven guilty.

No offense Atta, but Perry gave his opinion of the actual account of events. Therefore, I can ask him for evidence.

"By Trayvon confronting George, I think George was surprised by it and unprepared and reached for this cell phone. Trayvon, was equally paranoid for many reasons and just reacted by hitting George."

I don't know what evidence you have for this. Martin was on the phone with his girlfriend, and he told her that a man was following him, then he started running, and she panicked. The phone logs bear this out completely. AND ZIMMERMAN ADMITTED TO TRAILING MARTIN INITIALLY. I don't know where you are getting your story.

To say Martin confronted Zimmerman first is contrary the actual evidence. Second of all, three witnesses that were actually close to the scene heard a lot of crying, and they claimed it sounded like a child. Then it suddenly stopped. They ran outside, and found Zimmerman standing over Martin's body, with Martin's body facedown on the ground. "She and her friend say they heard the sounds from a few steps away, where they were inside beside an open window. Seconds later, they dashed out to find a boy face down on the ground and a man standing over him, a foot on each side of the body on the ground, with his hands pinning the shooting victim down. “I asked him, ‘What’s happening here? What’s going on?’?” said Cutcher’s friend, Selma Mora Lamilla. “The third time, I was indignant, and he said, ‘just call the police.’ Then I saw him with his hands over his head in the universal sign of: ‘Oh man, I messed up.’?The women, who were the first on the scene, said they saw Zimmerman pacing back and forth."

Too many version, yet everyone is willing to rush and convict Zimmerman, this is no different than KKK, IMO. If he is guilty but there are too much media all over this and Zimmerman will never get a fair trial in florida.

If Zimmerman walk out of hiding, i am sure, some blacks (like those of the Panther party)would be more than willing to lynch him or kill him or torture him before handing him over to police, which is exactly like the KKK, except reversed.

I agree with you on that. It's immoral for the Black Panther Party to put a bounty on him. People like me are only asking Zimmerman be charged and go through a trial, instead of getting off without any charges at all. I do not agree, and I condemn the actions of the Black Panther Party.

Poor George Zimmerman ... a target of the KKK! Ah, yes, the KKK ... those bigoted black people that dressed in the peaked hoods and went around lynching white people! Even made whites sit at the back of the bus! Terrible!

Here are some interesting news reports about Zimmerman...

Also it's now emerged that the lead police investigator wanted to charge Zimmerman for the killing (basically, what national protesters are asking for), but was overruled by the Florida state prosecutor's office.

@LH again, you are someone who has already convicted him based on media reports, your own biases, maybe other hidden agendas. No, George is not the target of the KKK, but as I said, if he were to walk out into public I fear for his life, which is the SAME as what the KKK did.

perrya, you made the one assumption too many white people make and that is "the real truth will come out, it always does." One thing the black community has learned in America is that all too often, the truth does not come out. Without public outcry, George Zimmerman was going to be back out in his neighborhood patrols those streets again. This case would have been swept under the rug like thousands before it, the real lynchings and abuses blacks suffered at the hands of the real kkk. Peace

@werner- not a for sure observation, at least not in this case. Truth will come out.

Sadly people do think of justice in terms of balance, tit for tat. Still, its refreshing to read something written from a position of calm. But where were you when Gov. George Wallace was brandishing a shotgun on the steps of an Alabama university to prevent two young girls from committing the crime of attending school? I suppose that made perfect sense to you The Klu Klux KLan, you know, enjoyed widespread support in their day, though the organization is not dead, only napping.

@lexicon- I barely recall George Wallace, way too young to care.

No doubt Perrya and many others, I am certain, feel the same. And that may be exactly why so many care so little about the boy who had taken from him all he had and all he will ever have. I know what, lets give George a medal for courage to gun down an unarmed teen on a rainy night. Perrya you may be to young to know this as well: those who forget history are doomed to repeat it. George Zimmerman has received very break for which a person accused of murder could possibly hope. he avoided arrest, kept his weapon, he was not required to submit a blood sample, and police did not preserve the crime scene. Consequently there is no real evidence in this case, only his word. And his bond was lower than that imposed on some drunk drivers. Reportedly George will receive police protection. Is this service something Florida provides defendants in other cases? Trayvon's parents are now placed in the unusual position of having to help foot the bill to protect the guy who killed their son. I am told the shooter believes his life is in danger and this time no one wearing a hoodie is walking ahead of him. He could have stayed in jail where he would be among friends on the Sanford police department and protected 24/7. Oddly, just last week Zimmerman's relatives claimed George was indigent...they launched a website to solicit donations to help pay his legal expenses. Monday He dropped $15 grand and walked out of jail. I understand there are legions of whites interested in seeing George Zimmerman exonerated to highlight the point that Americans have moved forward into the past where they can kill blacks at will and without recourse.

Responding to the idea that Trayvon Martin's death has been blown out of proportion let me remind you that the Feds are now digging up a Philadelphia site where a youngster was last seen 30 years ago! Why is there so little concern for the boy who was killed 3 months ago.
