Cain: Who's Abusing Who?

Cain

The press are finding more and more instances of so called abuse by Herman Cain.

The ones where action was taken, a settlement was reached and those that weren’t reported at the time, why not? Was he not famous enough then?

These days there is so much that, if taken wrongly, could constitute abuse. Many of us do not fully understand all the possible scenarios for abuse charges. Certainly though, the wealthy seem to find out the hard way, whilst the poor never seem to be accused of it, coincidence?

If the accusers pride had been hurt and they agree a settlement that would heal their pride, then that is it, over.

All these so called abuse charges prove is that Cain was rich and therefore a good target and also that he was arrogant, which is obvious but not a crime.

The Media

Press

The press, who must be short of any intelligent news are making too much out of all of this.

The press are the ones who refuse to leave it alone. From the beginning the general public clearly showed that they were not really interested. The press though did not agree and so keep it going until we get so depressed with the situation we say something.

The press has a lot of power when it comes to manipulating the public, this power should be tempered with common sense and impartiality, not abused.

The press is supposed to report the news and follow up on items the people show interest in, not report news then if the people don’t seem interested, keep hammering it in to get attention.

The trouble is, the people will eventually agree with the press, not because they are right but just to shut them up.

politics

Who first brought these incidents to public attention?

Was it a news investigator or was he manipulated by Cain opposition?

The truth is it could have been Cain himself considering all the attention he is getting.

The real question here is: is the press being abusive of its power or are the press being abused and manipulated?

The only thing that Cain seems to be guilty of, remembering nothing has gone to a court of law, is that of being human, arrogant perhaps but still human.

Once a settlement had been agreed, it became purely a personal matter and the only time that the public should show interest and demand action or imprisonment, is if the settlement was paid by tax payer’s money.

So, who really is guilty of abuse here Cain, those manipulating the press or the press themselves?
