   How Would You Fix America's Economy?

   Step 1: Raise tax on those that make more than $250,000 a year.
   
   Step 2: In order to apply for food stamps, federal/state housing aid, you must enroll in a technical school, hair academy, welding classes, whatever. This is funded partially by Step 1.
   
   Step 3: Increase private industry work on government contracts. Must demonstrate performance and be evaluated each year for further funding.
   
   Step 4: Make the military a more viable option for those wishing to serve. Family services, technical training, and more stabilized deployment schedules. Making private industry and the military fight for recruits is good for the economy.

   It is easy.  End the wars.  We can not afford them. And they are bankrupting our country.  There is a billion dollars a month savings right there.  Put all the military on our borders.  We are the only country that does not sue our own military to protect our borders.  Now everyone is safer.  Then cancel all of the Bush tax cuts.  The rich are not re-investing in the economy - they are investing in themselves.

   I would free up government revenue by cutting military spending to a peacetme level and withdrawing all troops from the Middle East, the Pacific Rim, Latin America, and Europe.

   I believe there is a simple answer in terms of topics but it does require more detail to be provided in a hub.
   
   First I would reduce overbearing regulations that are killing businesses with cost with no common sense as to why they are needed.
   
   I would reduce tax rates to provide more money in the pockets of everyone to spur spending and help the economy to prosper.
   
   I would reduce or eliminate programs that are now working and costing us tax money that could be better used on other vital programs.
   
   I would make changes such as a balanced budget amendment to ensure Congress doe not spend more than it receives.
   
   I would put in place a requirement that each legislative act identify the part of the constitution which provides the authority to enact the legislation.

   BS - the answer is VERY SIMPLE ...
   
   1 - cut military spending by 80%, invest 25% of the savings in SCIENCE & EDUCATION and use the rest to pay down the enormous dept over the next 10 years ...
   
   2 - start a national program of co-op business creation and reduce unemployment to below 3%
