Who is the most influential person that ever lived and why do you think they were?

Many will not agree with this; although they are in error since it is not about popularity. I would conclude even if I was agnostic, Muslim etc. that logically it is The Son of God, Jesus Christ.

Peter, Re 21:4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”  Isa 33:24 And no resident will say: “I am sick.”

Yes Kiss and Tales, yes indeed. No worries. Being comatose for a month taught me this...
      God's Speed to you!

Another thought Peter you can research Jesus genealogy , his line runs through the Jewish nation, no one can ever say this does not exist.
Also a good source of Ref can be found in our history books. Look up Ceasars and Pharoahs and Governments.

I agree Jesus ! as stated because his influence has been passed down through many generations , and still going strong.
We still are reading and considering the many important things he has said and taught. Many recognized that Jesus was God's Son who is the very likeness of his Father in many ways
But the greatest is love they both have and given to us as humans .
Love also moves us to love our family and friends , how great the love they have shown
Through out all generations   that love paid for a future into paradise.

Ok Peter that would explain why you did not consider him, Well I have a example of a wonderful thing this person did, would you say a person who donates a organ to save a life is truly a wonderful being? I would and many would agree !
      What if we -

I do agree Kiss, there are many wonderful people on this world who donate organs and this is great. But they are not directly the most influential people ever lived.

you are correct but to the one receiving a life saving gift this person would be their hero ! Say priceless , we all were born just to die, but Jesus being a Prince , paid for you and me to continue life even if we die
      we can return under him.

I would have to agree, it's Jesus Christ. Christianity is a religion that has the most followers (and critics) all over the world.

Peter  some one provided the cure for cancer, and heart disease , and donated the cure , how happy many people would be , how many life's would be saved, Jesus paid the price for everyone's cure ,He experience a real death for payment for you and me

I would say Constatine, he brought Christianity out of the obscure corner and made it a world religion. With all its consequences. There are many more influential people.
Like Confusius or Karl Marx, Charls Darwin and many more.

Karl Marx, Darwin you must be kidding, correct?

No I was serious. But ever is a big word with a huge time span.
And in that respect you are right that Marx and Darwin only had a huge influence on the last 150 years. So maybe a better guess would be. The man/woman who invented the wheel. - fire.

To Peter , yes these are great people but look who existed way before their time
Notice, Col 1:16, the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation16 because by means of him all other things were created in the heavens and on the earth

I don't think Jezus ever lived therefore he can't be the most influential person ever lived. Constantine the Great though had a great influence on western society as had Confucius on the eastern society.

How can you truly state that Jesus never lived. That defies all logic.

Peter we all were born genetically impaired
some more severe then others. But we all as humans have this in common any one of us can die no matter how healthy one might seem . Just like cancer, heart disease,  and many more illnesses,

At John , I do not believe in a God or that Jesus ever lived. Just as you believe God (the Christian one) exists and Jesus existed. It's in both cases a matter of believe. At Kiss, I never talked about the subject of genetics.

Well Peter you must admit that people get sick and die, that is a genetic disorder in all humans that we all grow old and die, scientist are baffled that our cells are always replacing and healing yet we still die.
This was written in the bible why,

yes Kiss, but I don't understand what this has to do with the question. Or with my comments for that matter.

Peter this has to do with why Jesus is the most influential person, example a king comes to your town and gives money away to the poor say millions, would you forget that person because he had to move on and continue his work.Jesus has done greater

Mmm Kiss, first you talk about cells and genetics, words and concepts that didn't exists 2000 years ago and then you're speaking in metaphors. Not the best way to defend your case. If you want to defend Jesus, then there are better arguments.

Also Peter Jesus just did not save one life.
Like an insurance policy he has covered generation's of lives, up until the earth system will end.We all are covered but like a policy it can lose value if you are Careless and do not consider it's value

I love this question. The most influential person that ever lived is Jesus Christ. And no one else.
