When I went to graduate school, I planned to teach college. After teaching university classes and pursuing dual masters' degrees in the Humanities, I became disillusioned with academia and moved into the business world. I have always wanted to do freelance writing but somehow never got around to actually doing it. Now I am doing it :-).

I love reading (especially fantasy and science fiction), and movies (usually like independent films more than mainstream ones). My favorite TV shows are The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Real Time with Bill Maher--regular news tends to depress me :-(. I also love Dexter and The United States of Tara (I like dark humor).

I like to bellydance, play the dombek (drum), take long walks on beautiful and even somewhat rainy days. I love storms, especially the ones that rage so much outside that they eclipse the ones inside you...
