dcollins33 on HubPages

Hello fellow hubbers, I've recently joined this esteemed community, but I finally got around to publishing some hubs. I'm originally from Little Rock, Ark but currently in Las Vegas. As a true Capricorn I try to live my life by "Life's Little Instruction Book," by Jackson Browne. I love sports, the outdoors, family and friends, as well as reading and writing. My favorite poet is Langston Hughes, but I like the works and writings of various other writers as well. I have 2 beautiful children. Although I have no formal writing or journalist skills, I enjoy writing about love, faith, spirituality, religion, relationships, life, and of course sports, but i currently have no sports hubs. I recently reevaluated my life and decided to go back to school to finish my degree after reading Malcolm Gladwell's " Outliers" The Story of Sucess. Without giving too much info about book, the section about the 10,000 hours really blew me away and I highly recommend this book to everyone who is interested in a better sense of self. So enjoy my poems, writings, articles, or whatever hubs I may publish. Blog and online business coming soon! I look forward to meeting new people and networking. God Bless You!

Hi dc,

Thanks for the kind words. As a matter of fact, I actually am holding opening reception for my latest art show downtown at the 8-Ball Gallery during the next First Friday (this upcoming Friday, Aug. 7th). Consider yourself invited. I've arranged for Food Not Bombs to provide baked goods during the opening, so that would also be a good opportunity for you to find about one of the groups I'm involved with.

Thanks,

Kelly
