I'm one who adores the old-fashioned ways.  When I can carve out some time, I still write letters the traditional way.  And there is nothing better savored than the increasingly rare piece of written correspondence that appears in my curb-side mailbox.  I have always enjoyed writing, though my published experience is scant.  I wrote a number of book reviews for Library Journal in the 1990's, some of which still show up on Amazon.

Other interests include gardening, genealogy, healthy cooking, alternative health, singing, learning to speak Italian, volunteering, reading, and dogs.  My world view has been shaped very much by my long career as a medical librarian, and consequently I look at many ideas from a health and wellness perspective.

I love music.  But, apparently I was born in the wrong century.  I have an affinity for early music and Renaissance motets -- especially if I can sing them.  I could listen to organ music and lute playing all day long.
