Brandy is distilled from grape wine or other fermented fruit juices. Usually brandy made from grape wine is at least 80 proof. Flavoured brandies, made from cherries or plums are at least 70 proof. Brandy is usually served neat or mixed with another spirit, such as a liqueur.
