You can clean the iron and make it new. with was paper and salt. Just pour the salt on the wax paper. The iron needs to be a little warm and press firmly Down with the iron on the salt. Running the iron back and fourth over the salt until all the grim is removed. this will work.. me and my siblings had to do this when we were kids.
