Destination Wedding? Is It For YOU?

Destination weddings now make up 25% of the wedding market and that's a BIG percentage! It's so big that wedding-gown designers have even developed separate lines of wedding dresses for those brides who wish to "fly off" to host the wedding of their dreams!

So why is the destination wedding so popular? In my opinion, it's MONEY and you can $ave a lot of it when hosting a wedding that's far from home....

Normally, brides only invite their immediate families and closest friends to celebrate their nuptials with them when hosting a destination wedding. This could add up to 20 people, maybe a few more, or a few less. 

The bride and groom (or the hosts of the wedding) will pay for the wedding and reception expenses as with any wedding, but just think: they're paying for 20 people, not 200. And all travel and lodging expenses will be paid by the individual guests... 

The other advantage of the destination wedding is that it combines the honeymoon in the process. While guests may stay for a couple of days to celebrate or take a mini-vacation, the bride and groom will stay on longer so they don't have the additional expense of planning and paying for a honeymoon. It's all in one...

TIP FOR SUCCESS: It's not a bad idea to hire a wedding planner at your destination wedding location, and I'm not talking about the property manager and/or catering director who's handling the affair for you (at the place where you're staying and/or hosting your wedding).

An independent wedding planner will give you that extra TLC and help you'll need---and will have insider tips (and unbiased knowledge about and experience with the best vendors, etc.) that will make your wedding better than you ever thought it could be!
