If You are Normal Then Define Normal?

Updated on November 28, 2011

Be Normal

Isn’t that what most people are trying do? ... Being Normal

What are the standards of normality and in what measurements you can really say Ha....yeah I’m normal?

After searching about this word for couple of days , I found out that it’s really hard to define normality as because it is a related to several matters,

such as in what century you are , the surrounding environment or even your social standard etc..

Then one day I was chatting with a friend and she said

“every one is doing it… It’s normal”

suddenly it hits me yeah now I know the definition of being normal, it was there all the time how did I missed it;

Being normal is the behaviour of the majority in the same period of time.

Behaviour of the majority in the same period of time; means a large group of people are behaving in the same way at the same period of time… so that will be defined as normal and if a small group of people behaving in a different way in that same period of time … that will be defined as abnormal...bla bla bla

Ok. I know that was boring so lets simplify it..For example being normal to you and your friends had never been the same definition of being normal to your parents,

we did all have our argues with them trying to explain our behaviour. I think we have all said in more than one occasion to our parents

" Time had changed and people are not doing that any more "and then after all those years of argues they contradict you with this statement ...

Just be your self

But I found in that contradiction, that they were right when they asked me to be my self, cause every one of us have a different nature and philosophy in life, we can’t be the same.

How can you be your self and be normal in the same time?

I guess I can’t…. it is really hard to be normal not because it is not right.... it's just because we are different by nature and not all of us born to be followers (Normal)…some are meant to be different (abnormal) . I don’t want to behave like the majority just to be normal...I just want to be my self, so my definition for being normal will be;

Being Normal= Being your Self

Proved by Microsoft Word

I just love to prove that I'm right , I found something to help me out ..you can check it out it’s very easy

Start Microsoft Word and write normal, right click now the word you will find at the synonyms tab;

Normal= usual, standard, regular, ordinary, typical, customary, common &average.

Abnormal= irregular, non standard, strange, unusual, atypical, anomalous, odd &uncharacteristic.

Do you see something going on there!!... How ever that was just my defintion of normilaty and I would love to hear yours ,if you can define normal in another way, you are more than welcome to share it.
