Mirror,Mirror What We See
But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.
2 Corinthians 3:18 NASB
When we first come to Christ we are made new and we are being transformed into His likeness. As we look in the mirror we see the same figure we see every morning or every time we look at our reflection. But on the inside we are being transformed.Praise GOD for that.
2 Corinthians 3:16-18 (NIV)
But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect[a] the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
The verses above seems to explain it a little better. When we give our lives to Christ and we turn to him our eyes are unblinded and we are free. Do we forget what we see when we look at our reflection in the mirror? Well, Jesus unveiled our faces and we can see now. He can see us as righteous and we glorify his name in things that we do for him and others. So when you look in the mirror try to see Jesus because we are being transformed each day we live on this earth.
