On "The Power"

Updated on February 11, 2012

My last piece of writing was on “The Secret” and Mr. Spirit Whisperer (http://spiritwhisperer.hubpages.com/) left me a comment, mentioning that he would be interested in what I had to say about the sequel to “The Secret”, which is titled: “The Power”. I personally liked “The Secret” better but that is just a personal preference.

“The Power” focuses on the power of love. As most of us know love has no limit thus, it is something extremely powerful. If one uses love in his/her endeavours, success is almost guaranteed. I say almost because we, as individuals have free will and that free will can also result in anything. That is the only thing which can affect the power of love: free will.

Therefore, I think it is important to understand love. The love that I am talking about is not the romantic, Shakespearean love. It is not the love between Romeo and Juliet. That, speaking from a psychological point of view, is not love. It is more of an addiction (in regard to the rewards gotten from the relationship at hand) and it generally happens between young adults or adolescents because their brains are still forming and are more prone to addictions in general.

Love as I see it, is an ingredient. I say an ingredient because I always think about it when I cook. Sometimes people are surprisingly pleased when I cook and when they ask me what my ingredients are, I usually give them the list but I never fail to mention that one needs to also add love when cooking. I get strange looks but it’s true.

Try it next time. Add love when cooking and You will see what I mean. You have to have love for your vegetables or your meat ... You have to do your prep (washing, pealing, cutting, etc.) with love and care – with appreciation. You have to understand what You are working with and love is just that: understanding and accepting. And it is also important to be grateful when You think of love because love is gratefulness as well. To love means to be thankful.

Those who will read this piece of writing will enjoy it because I added love here as well. I wrote this piece of writing from the heart and with heart. I did not do it for money, to get praises or anything of that sort. I wrote it because Mr. Spirit Whisperer asked me to do it and I did it for him, with love.

I do encourage people to give “The Power” a try: costs nothing but your attention. The power of love has no boundaries - it can get You anywhere. Cheers!
