Its a free Gift..
Gifts are given not earned.
A lot of people are really sensitive to the whole "God" topic. Normally people are ready to shut you down if you even bring up the name of Jesus in a conversation. Some will say that they are not religious and by that statement will not hear another word you have to say. What it is that is needed to be shared, is the fact that God loves them and has a special Gift for them. It is through this Gift that people may know God and have a place with Him in eternity after they leave this reality. The Word says it like this "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."John 3:16-17.
Now before I really get into to the topic of this Gift, know that if you have to earn something it is no longer a gift, but becomes a wage. You and I can not earn this gift that is offered freely...
The Gift.
The true gift is God. The word says "God is Love" and that the greatest gift is Love. The scriptures also go on to say "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends." John 15:13 so Jesus came and laid His life down for you and me calling us friends. He through this act was bestowing the gift of the Father to us, His Life for ours,so that we may have a life with the Father. You and I do not have to wait till we die to experience Heaven. We can experience it now with God. Through what Jesus has done. God raised Him up on the third day after He was crucified.
There is so much that God desires to share with those who desire to know the truth. It is upon receiving this gift that many other gifts may follow. "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." Matt 6:33
Jesus died for you and me to be forgiven of our sins. Turn to Jesus today for the scripture says "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.". Check out www.jesus2020.com if you would like further instructions on how to receive this wonderful gift.
So you know, you and I can never be good enough and earn our way into Heaven. It is only through Faith in Jesus Christ that we can be saved. "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." Eph 2:8-9
A deeper understanding of what Jesus Did.
Here is so more scripture explaining a little more about sin and the Gift that God has provide by sending His son Jesus Christ.
"Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death
through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned— (For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law.Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had
not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who
is a type of Him who was to come. But the free gift is
not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much
more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus
Christ, abounded to many. And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification. For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much
more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of
righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)
Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.
Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 5:12-20
