Do you want it all? Or do you want enough?
I've pondered at this very question for quite some time and I've found that I basically want enough. Nothing more, nothing less! I've come to the conclusion that getting ALL that you want is a relative impossibility. What do you think?
I agree that all that I want is relatively impossible. I am just happy being happy. However, just to let you know my all starts with my own galaxy minimum.
For a long time when I was younger, I wanted it all and had a certain sense of fear that it was not going to happen. Now that I am older, I would be content with enough.
Heh...on the face of it, and by my values, want for good karma, and belief that EVERYBODY should have what they need, the resources for which should come from those who "have it all" - they who are blatantly, stinking rotten rich, I want enough.
But, given my difficulties neurological, financial, anxiety and housing related...just to START, getting to the poing that these ever all become permanently cured, relieved or managable, that will surely be akin to having it all! And on those fronts, I want it all! Screw the fancy cars and other bling. I'd be embarrassed to wear such materialism on my sleeve, anyway.
As for health, complete and total neurological, neuropsychological, cognitive and affective relief and de facto relief via remediation, YES...I DEMAND IT ALL!!!
I want it all! HA HA
Let me clarify ~ My hopes, my dreams, my goals. I want the "all" that is my interpretation not someone else's.
I feel that I am worth it & I deserve it. I also feel that everyone else is also worthy and deserving of having their idea of what "having it all" means to them.
For some it might be glory, fame, and riches; but for others it might simply be to have health, happiness, and love.
The only limitations in life are the ones you place upon yourself. I choose to believe that nothing is impossible as long as you have the passion, drive, and determination to go after it.
I want it all that is enough, if that makes sense. I want to live comfortably and never have to worry.
I get it (I think)! You want all that is enough for you to be comfortable and happy. Right? Maybe my aim is off, so I'll digress, and say you deserve it!
Yup, you got it exactly! And thank you, so do you!
Enough. Wanting it all will just feel empty and unsatisfying. There has to be a limit. It's like fulfilling goals, feels satisfying and rewarding.
A lot of truth in what your saying; however, what if your limit exceeds possibility or practicality? (IDK) I go left-field sometimes, but for the most part I completely understand what you're saying. Thanks!
I agree with your question. If you pass the limit of possibility, you will never be satisfied or happy.

I was responding to the death rant thread and it bought to mind an incident my partner's friend had.In March of this year Dallas (my partners friend) was going fishing with about 8 other people. He got washed overboard by a rogue wave (his words) around midnight. He spent and survived 18...
