Sephora Haul
I have an OBSESSION!!
Guys, I have a confession, I am totally addicted to makeup. I haven't always enjoyed makeup, but when I was a Junior in college I became obsessed with watching makeup tutorials on YouTube... actually I became obsessed with YouTube in general.
I tend to make numerous trips to drug stores, Sephora, Ulta, etc. I buy loads of makeup, yet when I see that one eyeshadow palette (even though I have 10 that are just like it), I have to have it. Which brings us to where we are now...... guys..... I spent way too much on makeup that I didn't need, and now I am going to share it with you. I hope you enjoy!
The first thing I purchase was a Cover FX Mattifying Primer. This primer retails for $38, or if you want to try it out (like me) and see if you like it you can purchase a travel size for $16. Cover FX offers a variety of primers, but I chose the mattifying primer, since I tend to be very oil, especially with summer right around the corner, I needed something to combat my oily... well everything.
I've worn this primer for a couple days now, and I can tell you that I do see a a change in the amount of oil that accumulates on my face throughout the day. My makeup seems to stay in place better and not slip and slide around. I would highly recommend this if you are trying to fight the oil away this summer.
I was well overdue for a new eyelash curler. I have been using the same cheap drugstore eyelash curler for about 2 years now and it was time to get a quality one. This particular eyelash curler and mascara sample retails for $19 at Sephora.
Not only does this eyelash curler by Tarte do the job, but it's super cute and comes with a sample of the Tarte Lights, Camera, Splashes Waterproof Mascara. I am constantly shocked by the amount of people who do not/don't have to curl their eyelashes. If I do not curl my eyelashes, they stick straight out and it looks like I have no eyelashes at all, so this curler does the trick.
Once again, in hopes of combating my oily skin, I purchased Dr. Feel Good by Benefit Cosmetics. This is a balm that helps to mattify the skin. You can apply it before or after you apply your makeup and it retails for $31.
The jury is still out on how I feel about this product. When I first felt the consistency, it was a lot more oily than what I originally expected. I did notice that it did help mattify my skin, but I wasn't crazy about the way it made my skin feel. You all should try it out and let me know how you liked it.
I have never had a NARS blush, but I hear such good things about them, that I decided I had to have one. NARS blushes retail for $30, which is quite steep, but so worth it. This blush is super pigmented and it lasts all day long. I purchased the shade Sin, which is a deep plum color, and it is so gorgeous!!
How gorgeous is this palette? I am a sucker for matte eye shadows and I have had my eye on this palette for a long time. This eyeshadow palette by Tarte retails for $44 and is worth every penny!
Not only is the packaging beautiful, but this palette has 12 different eye shadows and a nice sized mirror which makes it convenient for traveling. Matte eye shadows are very versatile and easy to wear, especially if you are looking to achieve a natural look.
