With internet offering multiple streams of online income, more and more people are attracted towards the blogging niche. People who can afford to purchase a domain name and a hosting package can setup their own website. Others can conveniently post articles on high quality content sites like hubpages to earn money online. While creating a website or blog and setting it up live is simple and easy, promoting the website and getting traffic to the site is not so easy. You need to submit your website to major search engines, article directories and other sites using the best search engine optimization strategies. Submitting your website or blog to social bookmarking sites is an important aspect of any link building service. Here is a list of the best social bookmarking sites available online.

Multiply

Multiply is one of the best social bookmarking sites wherein you can bookmark your sites for free. You can post images, videos and articles too. The site has a pagerank of 7. The process of bookmarking your site is simple and easy. Once you click on the post link, a small box appears for you to paste your webpage URL. As soon as you paste the URL, Multiply digs out the information of the webpage, like the Title and the URL and fills in the required fields. You can add a description of the webpage of hub and add related keywords and post the link. However, you can use a maximum of 10 keywords and each keyword phrase a maximum limit of 20 characters. The striking feature of Multiply is the dofollow link it gives to your site to boost your search engine optimization strategies.

Tumblr

Tumblr is an amazing site wherein you can post links, articles, images and videos in an efficient manner. The site has a Pagerank of 8 and is my favorite one. The website interface looks awesome with easy to use features. The site is rich in graphics. Like Multiply, you can get a dofollow link from Tumblr as a part of your search engine optimization strategies. While posting a link, you can add Title, URL, description and relevant tags. You can schedule your posts too.

Blinklist

Blinklist is a bookmarking site, similar to Multiply and with the same PR7. Though the graphics user interface is not as great as tumblr, posting your links on this site is real quick. You can blink your links with ease. You can add a Title, URL, description and tags and the URLs posted here are all dofollow links.

Folkd

Folkd is another good social bookmarking site with PR7. The best thing about folkd is the ease with which you can add links. Publish a hub and post your link here. Once you post the link in the URL box, Folkd retrieves the webpage information like the Title and the description automatically. This will save a lot of time. Add relevant tags and you are done. The only issue with Folkd is that the links are nofollow links. Though you do not get a dofollow link, this is also a part of search engine optimization strategies to make your link building service look natural.

Digg

Digg is another good social bookmarking site with a pagerank of 8. If you webpage can get onto the front page of digg, you get loads of traffic. I haven’t received much traffic from this site, may be 1 or 2. The good thing with Digg is the ease with which you can add your site. Once you enter the URL, it retrieves the site information automatically. One thing I did not like with this site is the limited number of categories to attribute our blog’s relevance.

Stumbleupon

Stumbleupon is a good social bookmarking site and has a PR of 8. Everytime when I submit a webpage to stumbleupon I receive at least 5 pageviews within few minutes. Submitting your hub or website to this site is easy.

Reddit

Reddit is one more PR8 social bookmarking site which gives instant traffic. I had more success with Reddit when compared with other best social bookmarking sites. The site offers title suggestions when you submit the link, making your submission easier.

And do not forget to ping your article as soon as you post it online. While there are several online bookmarking sites available, these are the best social bookmarking sites according to my experience. Social media marketing is an essential tool which is not be ignored. Feel free to share your search engine optimization strategies.
