How Is Apple Iphone 6 Plus 16gb Superior to Iphone 6 16gb

Updated on December 6, 2015

With iPhone coming up with a new model every few months, it can be hard for you to decide which one to go with. However, if you haven’t decided on upgrading to 6S or to the iPhone 5 series, chances are you’re probably confused between 6 and 6 Plus. Here, we tend to make the process easier for you by examining various aspects, and eventually answer how Apple iPhone 6 Plus 16GB is superior to 6 16GB.

Design & Looks

The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are the same when it comes to design, with the only obvious difference being the larger size of 6 Plus. The latter has an added width of 11mm and 20mm height. In terms of weight, while the iPhone 6 weighs only 129g, its bigger counterpart stands at 172g. However, the thickness is only marginally affected, with 6 Plus measuring 7.1mm (0.2mm more than iPhone 6).

Processor

In terms of processor, both the models feature the same unit - the 64-bit A8. Additionally, both the sets also have the same M8 co-processor. And although there is no significant difference in terms of real-time performance, the iPhone 6 Plus does score better in terms of CPU power.

Battery

The iPhone 6 Plus has a bigger battery as compared to the 6, which is quite obvious given the screen size of the device. Apple claims that the device can last 16 days on standby, 24 hours of 3G calling and 14 hours of video playback.

In contrast, the company claims that the iPhone 6 can play videos for 11 hours, enable the device for standby for 10 days and can allow users to make 3G calls for 14 hours.

Comparing iPhone 6 and 6 Plus

Display

The iPhone 6 Plus wins over the 6 in terms of screen display and resolution. While the iPhone 6 has a 4.7-inches screen with a resolution of 1334x750 and a pixel density of 326ppi, the 6 Plus has a full HD, 5.5-inches screen with a resolution of 1920x1080, and a pixel density of 401ppi. Also, both the handsets have the same color accuracy and brightness.

Additionally, the contrast in 6 Plus makes it better than any of the previous versions of iPhone. Given the fact that the Apple iPhone 6 16 GB price in India is only slightly lower than 6 Plus, these features are worth the difference.

Camera

Both models have the same specifications for the lenses, with a 1.2MP front camera and an 8MP acting as a rear camera. Although both of these are alike, they are significantly better than all previous camera lenses in the iPhones. When it comes to camera, the 6 Plus has optical stabilization, as opposed to the 'simple' digital stabilization in iPhone 6. Needless to say, the phone does take amazingly sharp images even in the dark, and the video is a whole lot more stable.

Connectivity

Both iPhone 6 and 6 Plus have NFC, although the former’s is only restricted to Apple Pay. The 802.11acc is another new feature in the new iPhones, and both phones support it. Also, with the same mobile capabilities, both devices allow faster downloads when connected wirelessly.
