A web blog, or blog, is a place to share news and information. Blogs make sharing information on the web fast and easy. A blog is a collection of short news articles or pieces of information..Often, there is a place for people to leave comments after they read a blog article.

There are over 70,000,000 blogs on the internet. There are blogs on every subject imaginable. Mothers blog about their children. Business owners blog about their business. Musicians blog about their bands. Gamers blog about their favorite games.

WordPress software has revolutionized blogging. Over 500,000 bloggers use WordPress for their blogs. WordPress allows you to publish your Blog to the web, or create a private Blog just for your friends and family.

However, you don't need to set WordPress up, because the free sites listed next have already done that for you. You just click a few things and soon you'll be blogging!

Blogger.com is part of the Google network. In order to access blogger, you need to sign up for free Gmail or a free Google account.

Go to www.blogger.com to sign up. If you already have Gmail or a Google account, you use that log in information. You can make as many blogs as you want, and you can change or edit them later.

After you pick a name, you get to select a template. You don't have to worry, because you can change templates later if you want.

Then your blog is created and ready for you to write a message or information. You can even upload and add photos to your blog. After you write, you click to publish your post. When you click it, you will get a message saying that your blog has been published successfully.

Now tell your friends and they can come by and comment. The comments will be archived.

You may now have fans and people who will "follow" your blog and be notified when you add a new post.
