Find out the best company for phone cards to call Philippines
As part of my business I have to pay a lot of visits to the country of Philippines. But through all the years I've traveled and worked there I've made quite a lot of friends. It's easy since so many people their are so friendly.
I noticed one day when I was doing some expense reports that out of of all the countries I call in Asia and the Pacific Rim, the Philippines is up on the list as the most expensive. I usually spend about $150 US on average more per year making my calls from the USA.
For those of you who've read my articles and reviews about phone card companies know that I purchase phone cards from lots of different companies. I look at each individual phone card companies like a football coach who coaches a team differently. Because not all teams are alike.
From my research and experience, I've found that the phone card company Nobelcom has the best rates for calling Philippines. Check out Nobelcom Phone Card Company Review for more thorough information on this company. They have the best rates for calling a telephone land line and mobile line (Note: All phone card companies charge different rates for calling land lines and mobile lines. Check below for more information).
Something to Keep In Mind
One of the biggest complaints about the phone card industry is not getting the advertised rates.
But this is mostly due to the fact that consumers are not aware that whenever they buy a phone card with advertised land line rates and use it to dial a mobile number, they'll definitely be paying higher rates.
So make sure you know what kind of line you'll be calling and choose the appropriate card, to save yourself some headache.
Nobelcom's Website
First off to avoid any confusion at all, if you know you'll be calling a mobile number instead then check out the next section below. The phone cards you see above are rates for calling telephone land lines only.
Ok, now I'm going to teach you how to choose the right phone cards to call Philippines.
Nobelcom has four phone cards listed above. Now before you jump ahead and choose the cheapest rate, choose your answer:
- I will be making a high volume of calls within a short time span (2-4 weeks).
- I will be making a low volume of calls at my leisure (4 weeks - 1 year).
If your answer is 1 then choose "Hello Philippines" or "Talk Philippines" phone cards. Though these two cards have the cheapest rates, both also have weekly maintenance fee of .99¢ and .69¢ respectively.
This fee is deducted on a weekly basis from the day of your first use. So now you can see why you should use up the airtime before the weekly maintenance fee does.
Now if you know you'll be spreading out your phone calls longer then a month then choose "Call Philippines" or "1 Second Philippines". The rates are higher, (yet cheaper then telephone companies rates) but you can take your time in using these cards up. "Call Philippines" card has a .49¢ monthly maintenance fee and the "1 Second Philippines" has no maintenance fee.

Phone Cards to Call Philippine Cellular Phone
Notice these cards have the added word "Cellular". Use these cards only for dialing mobile number in the Philippines or else you'll be paying .02¢ more to a land line.
There are four phone cards above but before you reach for the card with the lowest rates choose the appropriate answer:
- I'll be making a huge amount of calls within a short time period (2 - 4 weeks).
- I'll be making calls here and there with no rush (4 weeks - 1 year).
If your answer is 1 then buy "Hello Philippines Cellular" or "Talk Philippines Cellular". Each have a .99¢ to .69¢ weekly maintenance fee respectively. Now you can see why you should only choose these cards and take advantage of the low rates before the weekly maintenance fee zaps away the remaining value of your phone card. The weekly maintenance fee gets deducted from the following week of the day you first used the card.
If your is answer is 2 then choose "Call Philippine Cellular" which has a .49¢ montly maintenance fee or "1 Second Philippines Cellular" with no maintenance fee. Though the rates are slightly higher (yet cheaper then your home phone's international plan) you are not forced to rush and finish off your phone cards.

A Little Bit Of Info About Nobelcom Phone Card Company
The phone card industry is very fierce and competitive. But Nobelcom stands apart from the rest as the industry leader with over 10 years of experience in the business
Now without the risk of sounding too much like a commercial, I just want people to know, as most of my readers know already, I'm just a regular person. So just like you I rely on reliable phone cards to connect me with friends and business associates in the Philippines.
The main reason why I use Nobelcom is because they operate their own telecommunications facilities. This means that they have greater control over their call quality. This also makes it possible for Nobelcom to brand their own phone cards.
What most people do not know is that the anyone with the right budget can own a simple phone card company. All they have to do is buy the minutes and slap on their own labels. Not that this is bad. It just means they have less control over quality.
Nobelcom is also one of the very few in the industry who offers 24x7 toll free telephone support. From the times that I have used it I never had to wait more then 2 minutes to speak to a representative.
In conclusion, if you need to buy phone cards to call Philippines I highly recommend Nobelcom. You can rest assure that when you use their phone cards you are getting what you pay for.
