Domain names from GoDaddy and hosting them at HostGator?

There shouldn't be any trouble with that, should there?  There's no conflict with buying the domains from GoDaddy and hosting them somewhere else, is there?  (thanks for all the feedback on a suitable host for wordpress websites yesterday!)

No there shouldn't be any problem. You can always have domain name registered with one company and hosting plan from another company. You need to update proper DNS names in your GoDaddy account to point to your HostGator space.

Nope, it's not a problem.  In fact my domains are actually registered through GoDaddy and hosted on HostGator smile

GoDaddy is very popular for domain registration because of good prices, service , and ease of use.  You can use any combination of registrar and host that you would like though.

Go Daddy is just selling you the domain name and you can host them anywhere. You just need to change some setting to make sure the domain is pointing at the server your using for hosting.

Hey Paul, you'll find that there is no problem hosting your Godaddy domains on HostGator.  You can change domains in Godaddy quite easily.

When you change DNS, you will have a slight delay before you can add the domain to HostGator, but that's no big deal.

They have good hosting.  Always be sure to backup your files.

Hope this helps.  All the best,

    Ben, with
