Domain names from GoDaddy and hosting them at HostGator?
Nope, it's not a problem. In fact my domains are actually registered through GoDaddy and hosted on HostGator
GoDaddy is very popular for domain registration because of good prices, service , and ease of use. You can use any combination of registrar and host that you would like though.There shouldn't be any problems with that

Who should I have host my domain?
