Do you think being a member of Google + helps your blog rank better in Google searches?
The only benefit that could perhaps be reasonable to assume is that by being a member of Google (profile) your hubs are indexed quicker.
Google has been quite open about what Google+ does for SERPs. It says that it will improve the rank for any of your friends who search on a term, so if you search on "widgets" and +1 a page, then one of your Google friends search on it, they are more likely to see your +1 page.
They don't provide data on exactly how much influence it has, only that they say it a small factor as it is new.
There's been some research done that suggests a 20% increase in visibility - google "rankings google +1".
Also, check out the integration of the Google +1 information in the Google Webmaster tools - it tells you how much effect the +1 button has had for you.
For any of it to work, of course, someone has to +1 you.
*Probably* just as much as it would to put your blog on other Google pages (Google groups, Knol, Sites.Google.com, etc)
I'm not much of an SEO guy but I don't think Google+ has any special edge over others as far as getting traffic.
Certainly no! However, if you use Google+ for publicity, then it means whole lot of difference

How can I check my blog ranking by Google?

How do you rank in non-Google search engines?I rarely see any traffic from Bing, Yahoo, or any other search engines besides Google. This problem does not occur on websites that I've set up personally. Why does this happen with Hubpages?
