Heritage Tourism in Mississippi
For me, Mississippi means Biloxi and the Gulf Coast; I'll try to treat it more broadly here! ;-)
The State of Mississippi is full of historical, cultural and natural elements to make it an excellent heritage tourism destination. I was fortunate enough to live there for a few months in 1961 and we visited again just a few years ago. Perhaps best known as the site of hurricanes landing from the Gulf of Mexico, I'll leave that aspect for others to report. With the current emphasis on the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War, I will certainly include some of that history here. Come join me in this visit.
