Hi everyone! A warm welcome to you. As a working mother, I find that I have to be ultra organised to be able to juggle my family, who are everything to me, our elderly parents, work and the 101 activities that everyone has to do. I ‘think’ I’m normal in that. I can use a computer and an Apple ipad for this needed co-ordination, but I’m old fashioned and trained to use a methodical pen-and-paper approach which has proven less likely to fail me. To gel this into the brave new world of technology and social media and news feeds, OCR and me are now friends.
I love the great outdoors, I love to travel; cycling; jogging (although getting on a bit now for that), lots and lots of walking, then balanced with a healthy dose of fresh cooking; baking; photography; reading, writing, learning; watching and supporting various sports including football; soccer and surprisingly an affinity for rugby. (Many of us will have also supported many a weekend morning –many-a-weekend-morning- standing on the sidelines, supporting our children’s attempts at reaching high accolades at these sports too). But mostly, included in all these - laughing!!. Having fun and laughing with my family brings me the greatest pleasure imaginable. I have been very fortunate to have travelled extensively with my husband’s situation when we were first married and then with our young children (babies), but then equally had the joys of settling on one place and providing a stable home for our children’s education. And then as a growing family we were very fortunate to have had some wonderful opportunities to visit so many exciting places on vacation and meet people all over the globe. Some standard holiday destination, but also some smaller and quite unspoilt gems. I must confess out stints in Scotland remain my most memorable and you will no doubt pick that up in my Hubs.
I apologise for my writing style, I've got a terrible habit of forgetting that I'm not writing for a friend, and perhaps I write a little informally for your liking. That’s me.. a friend.
As you will learn as my Hubs grow, my hobbies and interests are very eclectic, but as a working mother with my own hobbies and interest, my husbands hobbies and interests (some actually the same!!) and my ever inquisitive and growing up children, there is so much out there in our world to explore and learn about. Not just knowledge for a job! I thoroughly enjoy browsing through all your Hubs and repeatedly find that there is so much new and interesting facts to learn from everyone. Education is without a doubt paramount to a progressive community like this, no matter how small or large in content or technical detail. Everybody has something to say and everybody should have the opportunity to share. This is a fantastic community.
I hope you enjoy reading my Hubs...
