You don't have to spend a fortune feeding your family, particularly if you have more free time than money. I'll occasionally share recipes and shopping tips so you'll have more "bread" to eat and more "dough" to spend.
I'm a married mother of four with just one quickly growing ten-year old son still in the nest full-time, but do still end up feeding a crowd from time to time. My 2 college-aged daughters make routine appearances between semesters demanding the home cooked meals after surviving on cafeteria fare, microwave meals, fast food and cold cereal.

Who can turn chicken leg quarters down when they're 69 cents a pound? They come with ribs and excess skin and fat, though. Part them out into drumsticks and thighs and make broth from the trimmings.
