I am the typical complex woman that identifies herself as a mom, wife, friend, daughter, sister, and a long list of other relationship and responsibility tags. I love to laugh and I love to cry. I love to be around people and I love to be alone. I love to read and I love to write.
By profession, I'm a social worker and I am passionate about women's rights. I am confused that gender equality still exists and our society continues to breed an environment that fertilizes violence against women. As a mother of four, three girls and one boy, my professional passion is also a personal value and I am committed to challenge myself, and others, to understand what we can each do to end the violence.
On a lighter side, I am also interested in finding more balance in my life. As a full time working mom, it is not easy to balance work, family, caring for others and taking care of myself. I have an autoimmune disease, Hashimoto's Disease and I am still trying to figure out what that means for me.
